2学情分析
五年级的学生对钟表的认识并不陌生,而且对数字的英文说法比较熟悉,在此基础上学习时间的英文说法就不难了。本课是Unit1的教学内容基础上的拓展。学生更容易理解并接受本课时间的特殊说法。

1.重点掌握a quarter to…的表达。
2.重点句子I’ll be home at seven o’clock.
3.表达:It’s … now . “现在…点钟了”。和… will … at … “某某将在…点做某事”

a.师生互相问好。
Greetings as usual.
b. Revision.
(1)时间的整点“几点”和半点“几点半”的说法(展示PPT)。
我将在下午六点钟到家。你们觉得晚吗?(生:有点儿晚。)Daming 的父亲比我还晚。他说:I’ll be home at seven o’clock.我将在七点钟到家。

(2)板书本课生词并示范其发音。quarter 以及… quarter to…的表达。
(3)Play the cartoon again and ask the pupils to repeat sentence by sentence.
(4)Answer the questions. (展示PPT)

(School starts at eight.)
