Step 1 Lead-in
1. Read a dialgue.
T: Hell, bys and girls, tday we will learn Study skills f Unit 3. First, read a dialgue with yur partner.
2. Watch a vide.
T: Let’s watch the vide f the dialgue and find ut the difference between yur speaking and the actrs’.
T: When the actrs are talking, they stress sme imprtant wrds. That makes the dialgue livelier. Tday we are ging t learn stress in sentences.

Step 2 Presentatin
1. What shuld we stress?
T: When we want t stress sme wrds in a sentence, we shuld pay attentin t these three questins: What shuld we stress? Hw d we stress them? And why d we stress them? First let’s talk abut the first questin. What shuld we stress in a sentence? When we speak English, we ften stress imprtant wrds. These wrds are usually the cntent wrds. Watch the vide abut cntent wrds.
2. Cntent wrds and structure wrds.
T: Cntent wrds include nuns, main verbs, adjectives and adverbs. We d nt usually stress less imprtant wrds. These wrds are usually the structure wrds. Watch the vide abut structure wrds.
T: Structure wrds include: articles, prepsitins, prnuns, auxiliary verbs and cnjunctins.
