Many peple say running in the winter can be difficult. Tw reasns are the lw temperatures and bitter winds. Yet many runners might find it easier than running in ht weather. That culd be because lwer temperatures reduce stress n the bdy. When yu run in cld weather, yur bdy lses less water than in warmer cnditins. The bdy needs less water n a cld day than in warm weather. This infrmatin cmes frm sprts scientists at St. Mary’s University in Lndn.
Jhn Brewer is a prfessr f applied sprt science at St. Mary’s. Fr this study, he and ther researchers put a grup f peple int a rm they called an “envirnmental chamber”. The researchers then recreated summer and winter weather cnditins in the rm. The test subjects were asked t run 10,000 meters under bth cnditins. Brewer says he and his team recrded bilgical measurements f the runners. “We’ve gt a grup f subjects int the envirnmental chamber, we’ve changed the cnditins t recreate the summer r winter and we’ve gt them t run a 10km under bth f thse cnditins and taken varius measurements(测量)n each runner while they’ve been cmpleting their 10km.”
They fund that the runners lst water by arund 30.38% mre in thse htter cnditins. Besides, Brewer says every mvement runners make prduces heat. He explains that ne way in which we lse heat is by sweating(出汗). He says the bdy als lses heat by transprting the bld t the surface f the skin. “That heat builds up in the bdy and can be really damaging unless yu can lse that heat. And it’s much harder t lse heat when the envirnment is warm as well.” And they fund hw they felt their perceptin f heat—was arund a third lwer when they were running in cld cnditins. The bdy des nt have t wrk as hard t pump bld t the skin’s surface.
Several websites nte that the mst imprtant thing fr peple wh run in cld cnditins is t wear the right clthing. Keeping as dry as pssible is the mst imprtant when exercising in lw temperatures. S, if yu are a runner, dn’t let winter weather keep yu indrs. Simply get ready fr the lw temperatures and start running.

A. Running can help us lse heat.
B. Running in cld weather is beneficial t ur bdy.
C. The heat can damage ur bdy.
D. The bdy des nt have t wrk t pump bld.
33. What is the writer’s main purpse in writing this passage?
