Nowadays, our whole life is recorded online.
We set up email and online shopping accounts(账号);we download(下载) music, films, games and e—books. All of these things make up our digital legacy(数字遗产).Some of them are“assets(资产)”that we buy with money, while others are like footprints(脚印) that we leave online.
Since they are such a big part of our lives, have you ever thought about what these things mean to you? When you pass away someday, what will happen to them?
First of all, although you may have created your digital legacy, you don't really own it. You only have the right to use it—Internet companies own your accounts. For example, your Taobao account might be taken back by the company if you haven't used it for more than six months.
Does this upset you? You can pass on your digital legacy to your family members or friends by allowing them to use your accounts.
Besides, there are digital legacy management services in some countries. Big snowstorms and cold air swept across northern China in the first week of November, 2021. Many people can't stand the freezing cold.
At the same time, a global meeting on climate change—COP 26—was held in Glasgow, Scotland. There, leaders from around the world tried to deal with global warming.
Why are we experiencing such a cold winter on a warming planet?
The cold winter and global warming, two seemingly opposite facts, are not contradictory(矛盾的).
Global warming does not happen evenly(均衡地)on Earth, and it causes more extreme(极端的)heat and cold.
Because of the warming climate, China has seen a growing average temperature in winter. It has increased by 0.41 C every ten years since 1961.
But in some cases, the country has also seen freezing cold—for example, the icy weather in early 2008.
Global warming has changed Earth's air circulation(循环),influencing the local weather through sea—air or land—air interaction(相互作用).
For example, in October, 2021, La Nina influenced China. It is a weather pattern caused by strong winds above the Pacific Ocean. It brought more cold air to China.
Another reason for the cold weather is the warming Arctic(北极圈). It is warming almost three times as fast as any other place or Earth. The polar vortex(极地涡旋)—a rotating(旋转的)pool o cold air—becomes unstable(不稳定的)as the temperature increases there. So, lots of cold Arctic air then goes southward.
Will this winter be much colder? The weather forecast said cold winter was possible.
( A )56. The writer starts the passage by__________.
    A. showing a fact B. telling a story C.giving an opinion D. making a comparation
    ( D )57. COP 26 was held to__________.

    B. deal with the cold weather in winter
    C. talk about what to do with air pollution
    D. think of a way to solve the problem of global warming
( C )58. Which of the following can show the reasons why China has cold winters?
( B )59. What would be the best title for the passage?
    A. China will have a cold winter this year.
    B. Global warming caused colder winters in some areas of China.

Now, Hillarys, a British company, has made a clever sleep calculator(计算器). It can work out what time you need to go to bed just by the time you need to get up. For example, if you want to wake up feeling fresh at 7 a. m., you just need to head to bed at9:46 p.m.,11:16 p.m.or 12:46 a.m.
Tara Hall, a spokesperson(代言人) for Hillary sain Getting a good night's sleep is about more than simply going to bed early. It's about waking up at the right time, too."A recent survey found that nearly half of adult Brits aren't getting 7 ~ 9 hours' sleep a night. Sleeping less not only makes us feel sleepy, but also has a bad influence on our health.
A good night's sleep is important for many reasons. Not only does it improve our attention during the day, but it is also great for our mental(心理的) health and even physical health. Besides, sleep gives our immune system(免疫系统) the rest it needs to keep our body fit and healthy.

    My Feelings on "Double Reduction"Policy
As the "double reduction"policy is put into effect(实施),we have a lot of changes in our study.
The "double reduction" policy means students should have less homework and fewer after—school classes. We used to have a lot of homework. In order to get into a good high school and later a good university, many of us had to take some after—school classes on weekends. We could neither rest nor play during weekends. But now, thanks to the" double reduction" policy, we don't have to buy so many workbooks, and the teachers give us less homework. What's more, we don't need to take after—school classes on weekends. We can get enough sleep and we are less tired and less stressed.
However, we shouldn't spend more time having fun. Only when we manage our time well, won't we fall behind others.
