教材的地位和作用 本单元围绕与学生生活紧密联系的“学校活动、节日和生日”展开话题,并将话题延伸至谈论活动、节日和生日所在的日期。上个单元,学生已经学习了12个月份的单词及一些活动、节日、生日所在的月份。本课在学习Unit3的基础上,继续学习有关活动、节日、生日所在的具体日期;学习1-5的序数词和日期表达法。
2.教学目标知识目标:①能够正确听说朗读“When is…?” “It’s n…”等询问他人进行某活动的时间,并能使用这些句型进行组内、班内小调查。②能够正确听说认读词汇first, secnd, third, furth, fifth等,并且能写这些序数词的缩略形式。能力目标:根据实际情况,学生能够就某活动、节日或生日的日期进行问答。情感态度目标:培养学生积极主动地参与课堂活动,大胆开口,主动模仿;引导学生积极参加校园活动,丰富课余生活。
3.教学重难点重点:1-5序数词及缩写形式。利用句型“When is…?” “It’s n…”对学校活动、节日、生日的具体日期进行问答。难点:具体日期的表达。
五年级的学生好模仿、爱表现、记忆力强,处在学习语言知识的良好时期。他们还活泼好动,常常凭兴趣做事。因此,在教学中运用各种教学活动来激起学生的兴趣、调动学生的积极性是很有必要的。而且本单元内容与学生的日常生活联系密切,教学时,根据小学高年级阶段学生的特点,引导他们积极组织和参与校园、节日等活动,丰富课余生活。

在课堂中运用各种活动促使学生听说,让学生在互动、交流的活动中建立起自信,享受到学习的快乐,得到相关的知识,培养学生对英语运用的实践能力,让学生真正成为学习的主人。
