本单元主要是围绕奥运会和世界纪录来展开话题,通过本单元的学习,使学生了解有关奥运会的发展历史和世界纪录的相关情况,乐于接触并了解异国文化。在学习过程中,应该让学生能够对自己感兴趣的人物或事件,勇敢地用英语表达自己的看法,感受奥运健儿和世界纪录的创造者那种努力拼搏、不断超越自己的精神。
Lessn 36 Jenny描述了自己班里的各种运动赛事,尤其是Danny设计的 “Jump ver the Dinsaur”可以说是妙趣横生,让人忍俊不禁。通过学习本课内容,学生们将会设计自己的运动项目并举行课堂运动会,培养其竞争意识、合作精神。

Shw sme pictures abut sprts---jump rpe, sit-ups, push-ups and race.
Explain the new wrds in this lessn if necessary.

1) Ask the students t listen t the passage carefully and chse the best answer.

2) Each grup designs the event assigned t them by describing the bject f the event, making a list f rules and a list f materials that will be needed fr that event. They shuld als include a diagram f the event. ( i.e. What will the event lk like?)
3) Ask each grup t present and demnstrate their event t the class if there’s enugh time.
