1. 单元及课文分析
本单元主要是围绕奥运会和世界纪录来展开话题，通过本单元的学习，使学生了解有关奥运会的发展历史和世界纪录的相关情况，乐于接触并了解异国文化。在学习过程中，应该让学生能够对自己感兴趣的人物或事件，勇敢地用英语表达自己的看法，感受奥运健儿和世界纪录的创造者那种努力拼搏、不断超越自己的精神。
Lessn 36 Jenny描述了自己班里的各种运动赛事，尤其是Danny设计的 “Jump ver the Dinsaur”可以说是妙趣横生，让人忍俊不禁。通过学习本课内容，学生们将会设计自己的运动项目并举行课堂运动会，培养其竞争意识、合作精神。

语言技能：掌握描述运动项目的相关词汇和语句，并自己设计运动项目，开展课堂运动会。
掌握词汇：rpe, race, result, nne, twentieth 接触词汇：sit-ups, push-ups

Step 1 Class Opening (Abut 5 minutes)
1) Ding sprts can make us strng and healthy. Let’s learn sme new sprts tday.
Shw sme pictures abut sprts---jump rpe, sit-ups, push-ups and race.
Explain the new wrds in this lessn if necessary.

2) Discuss the Think Abut It questins as a class. 

3) Divide the class int grups t discuss the secnd Think Abut It questin and cme up with a list f events they culd d in the classrm. Then have the students share their lists with the class.

Step 2 Listen (Abut 6 minutes)
1) Ask the students t listen t the passage carefully and chse the best answer.

1） Divide the class int grups. Assign each grup ne event frm the final class list f events yu made at the start f class.
2) Each grup designs the event assigned t them by describing the bject f the event, making a list f rules and a list f materials that will be needed fr that event. They shuld als include a diagram f the event. ( i.e. What will the event lk like?)
3) Ask each grup t present and demnstrate their event t the class if there’s enugh time.
