本课出自外研社《英语》（新标准）（三年级起点）五年级下册Mdule10 Unit2 I’m in New Yrk nw.本单元的话题是谈论自己的旅行经历。本单元的课文情境是Daming 写给父母的一封信。Daming在信上说，他已于昨日平安抵达纽约，奶奶和Simn去机场接他，他们随后乘坐一辆黄色的出租车去了Simn家。Daming还说，纽约非常漂亮，高楼林立，车水马龙。奶奶为Daming 做了中国菜，不过Daming 更想尝尝美国菜，他想更多地了解美国。 通过学习本课课文，使学生能够运用所学语言简单谈论自己的旅行经历。本课一课时完成。

学情分析
本模块的学习重点是复习、巩固一般过去时的运用。通过不断的强化，使全班同学都能基本掌握行为动词的过去式。并学会运用 “I’m in New Yrk nw”, “I arrived here yesterday” 等句型结构谈论自己的旅行经历。

（一）复习导入Warm-up and lead-in（ 5分钟）

（三）课文学习Text learning（15 分钟）
1. Lk and say. Feel the situatin and learn a target sentence “I arrived here yesterday”.

Step2: Let’s learn mre thrugh watching the vide. T shws the table. Students will answer the questins accrding t the table after listening. T shws family tree and then let students t knw the meaning f cusin exactly.

Step 3: T shws sme pictures abut the statue f liberty, tall buildings, cars and peple , many yellw taxis and fd in America. Let students t ntice the cultural differences between China and America.
