Ever since the 19th century, people’s search for ways of producing electricity has never stopped. Now a UK company has developed a special floor. There is a system in the floor that can produce electricity very cheaply using the energy from footsteps. That is to say, every time people step on this floor, electricity is produced.
The designer of the floor came up with the idea when he was a student and worked in an energy company. For the past 20 years, the Touching China(感动中国) annual people award has honored people from all walks of life across the country. They are people who warm our hearts with their actions. This year, Yang Zhenning is chosen for it.
