[教材简介]
本单元课文围绕“过生日”这一话题,通过Miss Li询问Su Hai和Mike生日的具体日期以及谈论在生日当天所做的事情展开对话,学习句型:When’s yur birthday? What d yu d n yur birthday? 及其回答It’s n… I usually…以及相关新词汇。话题内容非常贴近学生的生活实际,主要通过学生在真实的语境中体验、理解、掌握并运用本单元的语言知识。
[目标预设]
1、知识目标:
(1)学生能朗读、理解词汇eleventh,eighth,tgether,birthday,April,game等;
(2)学生能在真实的语言情境中运用“When’s yur birthday? It’s n … What d yu d n yur birthday? I usually … ”来讨论生日活动。
2、能力目标:
(1)学生能整体把握Stry time文本,理解并正确朗读;
(2)通过教师引导,学生能正确运用朗读策略,获取文本主干信息。
3、情感(文化)目标:
能让学生在比较中了解中西方生日文化的差异和不同的庆生活动。
[重点、难点]
1、能在实际语境中正确运用所学词汇和句型;
2、感知和理解Stry time,并能正确地朗读;

[设计理念]
《新课程标准(2011版)》强调语言学习的实践性,主张学生在语境中接触、体验和理解真实语言,并在此基础上学习和运用语言。同时,在体验、提炼中了解中外文化的异同,并逐步形成跨文化意识。就本单元话题——Birthday(生日)而言,如何让学生自然、自觉地融入到这个话题的交流,并真实有效地讨论Su Hai和Mike的生日活动,这是习得语言知识的第一步。然后通过师生、生生交流、体验、比较、提炼,促使学生了解中外生日文化差异,此为掌握语言技能的第二步。最后让学生跳出文本,结合生活中的“我们”,谈论“我们”的生日,从而达到培养学生连贯思维与表达的终极目标。
[设计思路]
围绕设计理念,笔者将文本学习过程主要分为三个环节:1、营造语境氛围,让师生在切合主题的歌曲中渐入课堂;通过师生对生日话题的交流自然走进文本。2、结合学生生活实际提出若干关于生日的开放性问题,让学生介入思维,在预测中走近Su Hai和Mike的生日“现场”;通过任务驱动,让学生亲身参与体验两位主人公的生日“派对”来习得语言。3、采用阅读、复述、交流、对比、提炼、拓展等活动来让学生充分感受中西方文化中不同的生日风俗习惯和达到学

1.PPT出示文本(P78)Miss Li 和同学们交流的图片。
(1)Lk and say.
T: Lk,Miss Li and her students are talking abut birthdays . S whse birthdays are they talking abut?
Ss: They’re talking abut Su Hai’s and Mike’s birthdays.
(2)Think and say.
