When Sammie Vance was eight, she learned about Buddy Benches from a video. The video showed how these benches(长凳)are used on playgrounds. "If somebody is lonely, they can sit on the bench then." Sammie explained. “Another person can come up to them and ask them to play.”
Sammie thought her school could have a Buddy Bench, so she and her mom set up a meeting with the headmaster. They learned of a local company, Green Tree Plastics, that recycles plastic bottle caps into benches.
Sammie liked the idea of a Buddy Bench that would help kids and the environment. Her headmaster liked it, too. Then Sammie created a comic that showed how a Buddy Bench works. She and her mom posted it on the social media to ask friends and family to save caps. They also took the drawing to local businesses to ask for their help.
As words spread, collection boxes at school and around the community began to fill up. People even shipped their caps to Sammie. "I got caps from 50 states," she said.
In just two months, the project collected more than 1,200 pounds—enough to make three Buddy Benches! After reaching her goal, Sammie set a new one—Buddy Bench everywhere. This year, the First Class for New School Year moved the classroom to the Chinese space station. Three Chinese astronauts gave students a science lesson 400 kilometers above earth, as they stayed in the Tiangong space station. All members of the Shenzhou XII mission(任务), Zhai Zhigang, Ye Guangfu and Wang Yaping, the only woman, greeted all the students, teachers and other viewers and showed them how they live and work inside the space station.
It was the first lesson of the Tiangong Class, China's first class to popularize space science. Tens of millions of students across China watched the hour-long televised event with some taking part in video chat with the three astronauts during the lesson.
In response to a Hong Kong student's question about water, Wang said the water they drink is recycled, explaining that there is no difference in taste between common and recycled water. With a water recycling system, every drop of water is made full use of in the space station, she said.
In an interesting experiment, Wang put a table tennis ball in a glass of water. Instead of staying to the surface like on Earth, the ball remained in the middle of the water. Buoyancy almost disappeared in the weightless environment.
Actually, more lessons will be given about the space science. Wang Yihan, a fifth-grader at the Yuxin School, said "The space course was an eye-opening experience. I have great interest in spaceflight and would like to join our country's space exploration program in the future." Vincent Wong Wai-shing, deputy principal of Hong Kong's Pui Kiu College, said that after watching the lesson, the students in Hong Kong could get a chance to communicate with the astronauts while knowing more about the things out of our planet.

A. To invite students to the space. B. To ask students questions about space.
C. To popularize space science. D. To chat with the people on the earth.
24. What is Paragraph 3 mainly talking about?
A. The different taste between common and recycled water.
B. The introduction of the water recycling system in the space.
C. The working environment for the astronauts.

25. What does the underlined word "Buoyancy" mean in Paragraph 4?
A. The ability of dropping to the bottom of water.
B. The ability of staying on the surface of water.
C. The ability of remaining in the middle of water.
D. The ability of going up and down in water.
26. How does the writer show the importance of space lessons in Paragraph 5?

When was the last time you sent someone a letter by posting? Thanks to the speed and convenience of using the Internet, sending e-mails rather than mailing letters using the postal system—is the preferred means of communication for many people.
In a survey of over 2,000 young people done by the e-mail provider MSN Hotmail, around half said they send thank-you notes by e-mail, not post. Besides sending more personal e-mails, young people entering the working world today find themselves sending and replying to hundreds of business related e-mails every week.
However, many of these same young people seem to be unknown of some basic rules when it comes to sending e-mails at work. Most of the people in the survey said they didn't check their spelling before hitting "send". Even more surprising was that one in twenty of them said they sometimes send e-mails to their boss with the words "love and kisses"! While this is fine for personal messages to friends and loved ones, it is normally not proper in a workplace.
The main reason for this use of informal language in workplace e-mail is that a lot of young people have always communicated with others on the Internet—especially using e-mail—in a relaxing and friendly manner. For many, online communication outside of work includes talking with others in chat rooms, posting on message boards and sending e-mails to friends—all for fun.
Another reason is that some young people now entering the workforce are unfamiliar with how to write formal letters, because they have never had to write a formal letter before. They have had no training in how to write a basic business letter, and don't know the style and language that should, and should not be used.
With more business writing now being used on the Internet than ever before, it is important for people to be told the differences in language use between personal and business communication—especially when using e-mails. So the next time you send an e-mail at the office, remember you are not just online, you are at work.
27. Which of the following shows the structure(结构)of the passage? (P=Paragraph)
A. B. C. D.
28. What can we learn from the survey?
A. Most young people in the survey use letters to communicate during work.
B. About 1,000 young people show their thanks through e-mails.
C. Young people in the survey send hundreds of personal e-mails every week.
D. No one among the young people in the working world choose to post.
29. What do most young people NOT do for online communication outside of work?
A. Posing news on message boards B. Talking with others in chat rooms.
C. Sending e-mails to close friends. D. Writing business letters to their bosses.
30. What is the best title for the passage?
A. No E-mails in the Workplace
B. Rapid Development of the Online Communication
C. Formal Letter Writing: A Dying Art
D. More Training in How to Write Business Letters
