    Unit 3 Could you please clean your room?

    一、基本知识点

    1. Could you please +动词原形?  你能……吗?

    肯定回答:Sure./ Of course./ Certainly./Thats OK/all right./Yes, I can.

    否定回答用“Sorry, I cant.

    . Could I+动词原形?我能做某事吗?

    肯定回答:Yes, you can.

    否定回答用“Sorry, you cant.

    Could I go out?

    表达建议、请求的几种表达形式:

    1) Would you please do…?

    2)Would you mind doing …?

    3) Shall I/we…?

     

    2.borrowlendkeep 辨析

    borrow借,借进,借他人的物品来用,常用于borrow sth. from sb. 向某人借某物

    lend借给,借出,把自己的物品借出去,常用于lend sth. to sb.借某物给某人=lend sb. sth

    borrow

    借入借用他人的东西供自己使用向某人借某物常用borrow sth from sbborrow one’s sth结构表达

    lend

    表示把自己的东西借出给别人使用。借给某人某物常用lend sb sthlend sth to sb.

    keep

    表示的意思的时,是延续性从此,可以与“for+一段时间how long连用,表示借某物一段或多长时间如:keep the book for a week.

     

    3.spend, pay, cost, take 辨析

    spend

    1spend time money (in) doing sth. 花费时间(金钱)做某事

    2spend time money on sth. ……上花费时间(金钱)

    They spent two years (in) building this bridge.

    I spent two hours on this maths problem

     

    pay

    1) pay (sb.) money for sth, 付钱(给某人)买……

    2)pay for sth. ……的钱

    3)pay for sb. 替某人付钱

    4)pay sb. 付钱给某人

    I have to pay them 20 pounds for this room each month

    I have to pay for the book lost

    Don’t worry. I’ll pay for you

    They pay us every month

    cost

    cost的主语是物或某种活动, )sth. costs (sb.) +金钱,某物花了(某人)多少钱

    A new computer costs a lot of money.

    take

    It takes sb. +时间+to do sth. 做某事花了某人多少时间

    It took them three years to build this road.

    4.reply answer 辨析

    reply

    做及物动词,后接that从句或直接引语;做不及物动词时,后跟介词to才能接名词或代词做宾语

    He replied that he would come

    answer

    常做及物动词,还可以表示接听(电话)或应答门铃等,但reply不能这样用

    A little girl answered the door.

    5.动词后接动词ing的几个用法

    practice doing练习

    enjoy doing享受

    keep doing保持

    avoid doing避免

    mind doing介意

    suggest doing建议

    6. It’s +adj.+(for sb.) to do sth 句式   意为“对某人来说,做…………表示说话人对客观事件的决断, 比较正式.

    如:it's important for us to study English .对我们来说,学习英语很重要

    ★句子中的形容词仅仅是描述事物,不对不定式行为者的品格进行评价,for sb.,这类形容词有difficulteasyhardimportantdangerous,(impossible等。

     It’s very dangerous for children to cross the busy street.

     对孩子们来说,穿过繁忙的街道很危险。

     It’s difficult for us to finish the work. 对我们来说,完成这项工作很困难。

     It’s +adj.+of sb. to do sth.该句型通常表示说话人对客观事件的惊讶、兴奋、懊悔、难过等感叹情绪

    该句型中用作表语的形容词常见的有如下几类:

    一、表示聪明或愚蠢的形容词,clever, wise, foolish, stupid, silly, unwise, dumb(愚笨的), absurd (荒谬的), :

    It’s silly of him to do such a thing.  他竟干出这样的事,真是愚蠢!

    二、表示正确或错误的形容词, right ,wrong, correct, incorrect , :

    It was right of her not to come here. 她没有来这儿,太对了!

    三、表示好坏等品性的形容词,此类词较多, good, nice, kind, sweet, friendly, lovely, wonderful, jolly(快活的), bad, unkind, naughty, wicked(坏的,邪恶的), :

    It’s friendly of you to come and see me .  你能来看我,真够朋友!

    It’s very kind of you to help me.  你能帮助我,真是太好了!

    It’s very nice of you to offer me a seat.  你主动给我让座,真是太好了

     

    二、重点语法——形容词、副词比较级的用法

    )比较级常用的句型结构

    1.+形容词/副词的比较级+than+表示甲比乙…”

    Tom is taller than Kate.

    I got up earlier than my mother this morning.

    2. “比较级+and+比较级表示越来越……”

    He is getting taller and taller.

    (  ) . The earth is getting ________.

    3. “the+比较级,the+比较级表示……,越……”

    The more careful you arethe fewer mistakes you’ll make.

    4.“+be+the+形容词比较级+of the two+……”表示甲是两者中较……(of the twins/parents…)

    Look at the two boys.  My brother is the taller of the two.

    5.比较时不能与自身相比

      : 当相比较的两者属于同一范围/类别时,为了与自身相比较, 要用any other +单数名词. 若两者不属于同一范围/类别时,不必用other ,直接用any + 单数名词.

      He is taller than _____ boy in his class.       He is taller than _____boy in our class .

    6.有些含有比较级的句子里,常用that(单数、不可数名词)those (复数名词)代替前面提到的词,以避免重复。

    The weather in Beijing is colder than ____ in Guangzhou in winter .

    Unit4 Why don’t you talk to your parents?

    一、基本知识点

    1用于提建议的句型有:

    (1)Let’s do sth.让我们一起做某事吧。

    (2)Shall we do sth?

    (3)What about doing sth ?=How about doing sth?  ….怎么样?

    (4)Would you mind doing sth?你介意做某事吗?

    (5) Why don’t you talk to your parents?

    Why don’t you do sth= Why not do sth   为什么不……呢?

    (6)Would you like to你愿意……?

     

    同意对方的建议时,一般用:

      Good idea./ That’s good idea. 好主意    

     OK/ All right./ Great / /太好了

     Sure/ Of course/ Certainly 当然可以

      No problem 没问题

    委婉谢绝对方的帮助或要求时,一般用:

      I don’t think so 我认为不是这样    

     Sorry, I can’t 对不起,我不能

     I’d love to, but…                   

      I’m afraid…我愿意,但恐怕……

    2. allow  v 允许

    allow sb. to do sth

    My mother allows me to watch TV.

    be allowed to do sth被允许做某事。(被动语态)

    3. angry adj. 生气的→ angrily adv. 生气地

    (1)be angry with sb.

    (2)be angry about sth

    4. get on with sb. =get along with和某人和睦相处;和某人关系良好

     get on well/ badly with 相处的好/

    5. argue 争吵→argument n 争论

    argue with sb.

    argue about sth

    argue with sb. about sth 为某事与某人争吵

    6. offer provide的区别

    offer

    侧重表示“愿意给予”,常用语offer sb sth=offer sth to sb,      offer to do sth(能够干某事)

    provide

    指有原件,为应付意外,紧急情况等做好充分准备而“供给;提供”,常用语provide sb with sth=provide sth for sb

    7. some times, sometime, some time, some time的区别

    sometimes

    意为“有时;不时”,意思与at times相近,多用于一般现在时

    some times

    意为“几次;几倍”,time意为“次;倍”,是可数名词

    some time

    意为“一段时间”,time意为“时间”,是不可数名词

    sometime

    意为“某个时候”,他可指过去的“某个时候”,也可指将来的“某个时候”

    补充: It is time to do sth=it is time for sth 到做……的时候了

     

    二、语法复习—状语从句(一)

    连词until, so that, although 引导状语从句

    在主从复合句中做状语的从句叫做状语从句。

    1. until引导时间状语从句

    until引导时间状语从句,意思为“直到……时”,从句一般位于主句之后

    1)主句是肯定句时,谓语用延续性动词,强调主句的动作或状态一直持续到从句的动作发生为止,意思为“直到……”

    I’ll stay here until you come back

    2)主句是否定句时,谓语用非延续性动词,侧重主句的动作在从句发生之后才开始,译为“直到……才”

    I didnt go to bed until/before mum came back

    2. so that引导目的状语从句

    so that可以引导结果状语从句,意为“因此;所以”,在口语中,that可以省略;也可以引导目的状语从句,意为“为了”,此时从句多用can, could等情态动词。

    He lowered his voice so that Doris didnt hear

    I took a taxi so that I could get there earlier.

    注意:sothat也可以引动结果状语从句,意为“如此……以致于……”(详情请听下回分解)

    3. although引导让步状语从句

    although引导让步状语从句,与though意义一样,意为“虽然,尽管”,位于句首,句末都可以。although/though引导让步状语从句时,主句中不可以出现but,但可以用yet, still 等。

    Although/Though we are neighbours, I dont know them well

    He went to school though/although he was very ill

    Though/Although its hard work, yet I enjoy it.

     

    【练习】用until, so that, although填空
