The best holiday trip I have ever been on is a trip to Fraser's Hill in Selangor. Itwas the school holidays and my parents had booked bungalow(平房) at the top of thehill just one and a half hours’drive from K.L.
we started early in the morning by car.My brother,sister and I sat in the car witheager expectation of the cool weather and jungle trekking(跋涉). Our journey took usalong the North-South Highway to Bukit Beruntung where we exited the toll booth(收费站) and headed past Serendah till we arrived at Kuala Kubu for breakfast. It was a littletown that had many old buildings and an breathtaking landscape.
Further along the way,we passed a huge dam and stopped at the lakeside to takepictures.Along its banks were little huts that dotted the hillsides.The journey up thehills was scenic and awesome with thick rainforest.
Finally,we reached the Gap where we were allowed to go up to Fraser's accordingto an hourly timetable. Odd and even(奇数和偶数)hours were designated for ascentand descent(上下坡)as the final few kilometers of the road were too narrow for two-way traffic. When we reached the town centre,a brick clock tower,rustic(乡村的)police station and cute golf course greeted us. We stopped for lunch at a stall servingChinese food. Then,we got directions to the government bungalow from the locals. Itwas a l5-minute ride to the clean bungalow that was equipped with kitchen facilities,dining hall and TV. The garden had a playground and barbecue area.
The fog enveloped the bungalow giving it a foreign atmosphere. We looked cool inour jackets as we walked along the road for dinner at some stalls in town that night. Webid goodbye to them and the cool natural surroundings as we made our way back to thepolluted city.

A famously strange statue in the city of Oxford,England recently received officialprotection as a historic landmark. But,Magnus Hanson-Heine,the son of the man whobuilt the artwork,is not happy about the special recognition.
But first,about that statue: It is a 7.6 meter tall model of a shark. The strangepart is in the sculpture's positioning up on the top of the Hanson-Heine house. Itappears from the street as if the huge fish dove straight through the home's roof.
Magnus Hanson-Heine's father,Bill,put up the sculpture in 1986 as a reminder ofwar and nuclear weapons.
Bill Heine was an American who studied law at the University of Oxford and madethe town his home. He got the idea for the sculpture after he heard Americanwarplanes fly over his house one night in April 1986.The next morning,he learned thatthe planes had been on their way to bomb Tripoli,Libya.
Bill put the sculpture on display on August 9 to mark the 41st anniversary of theatomic bomb attack on Hiroshima,Japan.
The image of a shark crashing through the home captured the shock civilians(贫民)must feel when bombs smash into their homes,Magnus Hanson-Heine said. Bill Heinedied in 2019.
Magnus Hanson-Heine calls the local government's declaration about the sculpture“absurd.”His father,he explained,never sought nor accepted permission to put up theshark. In fact,he strongly believed,his son said,that the government should notdecide what art the public should see.
And,Hanson-Heine noted,the same local council that has declared the sharkhistoric and protected,had spent years seeking its removal. The shark's anti-warmessage is just as important today,Hanson-Heine said.

Three Chinese astronauts recently arrived at the country's new space station inanother step forward for the growing space power. Here is a look at some of the spacestation's major goals.
The three-member crew will stay for three months in the station's main livingspacc,called a modulc(舱). The module is named Tianhe,which means“Harmony ofthe Heavens”in Chinese. The astronauts will carry out science experiments andperform maintenance. They also plan to complete space walks and prepare the stationto receive two other modules next year.
While China admits it arrived late to the space station game,it says its new stationis modern and includes the latest space technology.
