第一课时 Section A (1a-2d)◇目标导航◇ 类别课时要点重点单词textbook n.教科书;课本conversation n.交谈;谈话aloud adv.大声地;出声地pronunciation n.发音;读音sentence n.句子patient adj.有耐心的 n.病人重点短语ask sb.for help请求某人帮忙have conversations with sb.与某人谈话give a report做报告重点句型1.How do you study for a test?你怎样准备考试?2.What about listening to tapes?听磁带怎么样?3.It’s too hard to understand spoken English.听懂英语口语太难了。4.The more you read,the faster you’ll be.你读得越多,你就会读得越快。教学重点1.让学生学会运用how来询问做事的方式。2.让学生学会正确运用介词by来表达做事的方式。教学难点让学生能够联系实际,运用“by+V⁃ing”结构谈论自己的学习方法,并能为别人提供合理的学习建议。 ◇教学过程◇预习指导一、方法指导1.预习Page 1-2上的生词,根据音标能读出这些词,并掌握其词性和汉语意思。2.朗读1a-2c的句子和对话,能进行英汉互译。3.和搭档分角色朗读2d中的对话。二、预习检测根据句意用所给词的适当形式填空1.What about making (make) word cards? 2.Watching foreign movies can improve my speaking (speak) skills. 3.Yang Li finished reading (read) the book last night. 4.Kathy taught herself English by listening (listen) to the tapes. 5.I often have conversations (conversation) with my classmates after class. 课堂教学Step 1 Leading in1.Greet the class and briefly talk with the students about their holidays.2.Discuss with the students like this:T:What do you usually do when you study English?S1:I often read English books.T:(To class) Good.He studies English by reading English books.That’s a good way....Step 2 Work on 1a1.Let the students work in groups and add more ways of studying English.2.Read the phrases in 1a.Tell the students the usage of “by doing” phrases.3.Help the students to say out their ways of studying.Step 3 Work on 1b1.Read the instruction.2.Play the recording for the first time.Students only listen.3.Play the recording for a second time.Ask the students to match the ways with the names in 1b.4.Check the answers with the whole class.Step 4 Work on 1c1.Let the students work in groups and interview their partners about how they study for a test.2.Choose one of the groups to report to the class.Step 5 Work on 2a-2b1.Use PPT or pictures for the students to learn the new words.Read the questions in 2a.2.Get the students to guess the answers in 2b.3.Play the recording for the first time.Students listen and check the questions.4.Play the recording again.Students listen and match the answers with the questions in 2a.5.Check the answers with the whole class.Step 6 Work on 2c1.Show the pictures of the conversations.2.Ask the students to work in pairs and say out their conversations to the class.Show the PPT to help.Step 7 Work on 2d1.Ask the students to talk about the picture and scan the conversation.2.Ask the students to read aloud the conversation in 2d.Learn the new words and phrases.3.Ask these questions:How does Jack feel at the very start?What’s Jack’s problem when he reads?And what does Annie suggest?4.Check the answers with individual students to see how well they understand.5.Play the recording and get the students to follow the teacher in the recording.Then ask several pairs to act out the conversation.◇教学反思◇ 本课时通过听说活动以及学生的小组合作,用目标句型对各种学习英语的方法进行了讨论,为学生提供了最佳的英语学习方法。学生进入初三,学习压力增大。因此,老师需要利用一切机会鼓励学生在课堂上不必太过拘谨。通过学习,学生可以将书中学到的学习英语的方法运用到实际生活中,从而达到学以致用的目的。
