Step 1 Warming up
1. Enjoy a video
T: Boys and girls, do you like dogs? S: Yes
T: There is a magic dog. His name is Ben. Do you want to see him? Let’s watch.
2. Free talk:
1) T: Is he a magic dog? S: Yes.
T: He can do a lot of things. Do you remember what is Ben doing in the video? Which picture do you choose? (选图)
学生自学词组clean things,sweep the floor,教师适当教读。
2)Now look what is he doing? (看动画)
Ss: He is sweeping the floor.
3) T: Now what is he doing? (看动画)
Ss: He is…
4) T: After doing the housework. How is Ben now? (选择)
Ss: He is tired.
T: What is Ben doing now?
Ss: Ben is sleeping.
T: Ben is the dog. So we can say…
Ss: Ben the dog is sleeping.
T: Ben is sleeping. What about his family? Who are they? What are they doing? (看课文动画)
Step 2 Presentation
1.Watch and circle/choose
Who are they? What are they doing?
Ss: They are doing housework.
2. Learning Picture1
1) T: When are they doing housework? (看图)
Ss: Saturday morning.
T: It is Saturday morning. What are Helen and Mike doing? Let’s listen. (Listen and match)
So Helen and Mike are helping their parents. Helen is … Mike is … (请人说)
2) Look and say. (看图描述)
It is Saturday morning. Helen is …. Mike is …. (齐说)
3) T: Now we know what Helen and Mike are doing. What are parents and Tim doing? Read and find what are they doing? (Read and underline)
4) T: Now, can you tell me what they are doing from the picture. (Look, say and chant)
T: It is also a chant. Let’s try to chant.
教师师范一句(学生跟读)——跟音乐齐读
5)Sum up Picture 1 (看板书用现在进行时说说人物在早上做的事)

1) Look at the clock. It is afternoon now.

小组学生示范——跟音乐齐读
4) Mother is busy. Mike and Helen are helping her. How about Tim and Jim? Look at the picture. Can you ask some questions? Ss: What? Where? Who? (看P3)
回答问题——课件出示答案——答案连成一句话——学生齐读
Ss:Tim and Jim are eating fruit and watching TV in the living room.
