Step 1　情景导入

Teacher：I'm happy to meet you again.This class I bring you some interesting pictures.Do you want to see them？OK,look at this one first.Can you tell me what the little girl is doing？Yes,you are right,she is crying.What a pity！And this one,good,she is talking on the phone.Is she lovely？Yes,I think so.And please pay attention to the structure learned in Unit 6,“am/is/are＋v­ing”.It's very important.

Teacher：Now look at these pictures please.They are about the weather.Read after me “weather”.How's the weather in Picture 1？It's cloudy.How's the weather in Picture 2？It's windy.How about in Picture 3？It's snowing.And in Picture 4,it's sunny.In Picture 5,it's raining.Look at the list of the words on the blackboard and repeat after me：“raining,snowing,windy,sunny,cloudy”.OK,and how's the weather today？Good,it's sunny and windy.Well,today we shall take up the seventh unit,please read the title aloud,“It's raining！”

环节说明：通过复习上个单元所学习的现在进行时和谈论天气导入课题和新单词,很自然地做好了单元之间话题的衔接,激发了学生说英语的热情,从而让学生进一步掌握现在进行时,并运用现在进行时态描述在各种天气背景下人们的活动,为本单元的教学作好铺垫。

Step 2　完成教材1a～1c的任务

1.认真观察1a的图片,完成1a的任务。(1分钟)

Teacher：Look at the pictures on Page 37 in your book.They are five photos of different cities in the world.How's the weather in picture a？Yes,it's raining.And there is another way of asking about the weather.That's “What is the weather like？”. For example,what's the weather like in picture b？Yes,it's sunny.Now,look at the list of the words and match each word with one of the cities in the picture,please.Write the letter of each city next to one of the words.

2.认真听录音,完成1b的任务。(1分钟)

Teacher：Do you know the names of these five famous cities？Look at the list of the names and read after me：Beijing,Moscow,Toronto,Boston and Shanghai.As you see,it's sunny in Beijing.What about other cities？Let's listen to the conversations about these cities.And write these city names in the boxes above.

3.大声朗读并背诵1b听力材料中的小对话,结对练习这四个小对话,最熟练的一组要到讲台上展示。(2分钟)

4.让同学们选择1a中的某个城市,并谈论那儿的天气状况,先由师生之间进行口语训练,然后让同学们编写并表演对话,完成1c。(3分钟)

Teacher：Now practice the conversation.And then make your own conversations about the weather with your partner on the phone.

5.小结训练。(3分钟)

用括号内所给单词的适当形式填空。

(1)It's a beautiful sunny(sun) day.

(2)—How's the weather tomorrow?

—It's windy(wind).

(3)—What's the weather like today?

—It's snowy(snow).

(4)—How's the weather in Shanghai?

环节说明：通过学习1a,让学生熟悉并掌握一些描述天气的形容词；通过学习1b,锻炼学生的听力及抓取关键信息的能力；1c的训练为完成教材2a～2d的任务做好准备,同时巩固所学的语言知识。

Step 3　完成教材2a～2d的任务

1.认真听录音,完成2a的任务。(3分钟)

Teacher：Now turn to Page 38 and look at the pictures in 2a.Talk about what people are doing.The boy is talking on the phone.The woman is cooking.The girl is watching TV.The man with glasses is playing basketball.Well done！Let's listen to the conversation and number the pictures.

2.再听一遍录音,完成2b的任务。(2分钟)

Teacher：Good,we have finished the first task.But who does these activities？Listen to the tape again and match the names with the activities.

3.让同学们两人一小组谈论2a图片中的人物活动,并让若干组学生上台展示,完成2c的任务。(3分钟)

Teacher：OK.Now try to make your own conversations about the people in the picture in 2a with your partner.And then I'll ask some pairs to present your conversations to the class.

Sample：

4.分角色朗读2d中的对话内容,解释重点短语和句子并让多个小组上台展示。然后让学生大声朗读对话内容。(4分钟)

Teacher：Now,Let's explain the important phrases and the difficult sentences.Then act out the conversation.And I'll ask some pairs to present your conversations to the class.

5.小结训练。(4分钟)

在空格内填入适当的单词,使对话完整、通顺。

A：Hello！Simon?

B：Is that Tony？Hi,Tony！Where are you?

A：I am in Beijing！I am calling to say happy birthday.

B：Oh,thanks!

A：So,how's it going there?

B：Great！How are you?

环节说明：通过对学习的目标语言进行听、说、读、写训练,不仅锻炼了学生的语言综合运用能力,还巩固了学生对目标语言的学习、识记和运用。

Teaching Reflection【教学反思】

本堂课的教和学均围绕本堂课的两个目标开展实施：

1.学会如何描述天气：

2.描述不同的天气情况下人们正在做的事情。

本节课主要运用目标语言描述天气情况以及我们在这样的天气里正在做的事情。这节课主要有两个重点。第一个重点：运用现在进行时描述正在发生的事情。让学生描述自己在某个地方正在做的事情,并且把做的事情画成一幅图画,在图画下面写一句话介绍自己正在做的事情。然后进行小组讨论,调查组员做的事情,看谁画得好,表达的好。例如,让学生打电话互相询问自己所在地方的天气情况,以及正在做的事情。我们中国有许多美丽的城市,通过小组调查选出组员最想去的城市,然后在全班选出同学们最想去的城市。在教学过程中,可采用游戏,分角色扮演,小组合作等灵活多样的教学方式。
