顾名思义，物主代词就是物体的主人，表示物品的所属关系，可分为两种: 名词性物主代词和形容词性物主代词。
I. 用法：1. 形容词性物主代词用来修饰名词，起形容词的作用，不能单独使用。 如： My parents are bth teachers. 我的父母都是老师。
2. 名词性物主代词可以单独使用，相当于“形容词性物主代词+名词”，后面不跟名词。如： May I use yur ruler? I have lst（丢了） mine. = May I use yur ruler? I have lst my ruler.
名词性物主代词还可以用在“n. + f + 名词性物主代词”结构中，表示“某人的 …”。如： The shes f hers are very nice. 她的鞋子很漂亮。
名词性物主代词起名词的作用。为了避免重复使用名词，我们经常用名词性物主代词来代替“形容词性物主代词+名词”的形式。如：
1. My pen is missing. May I brrw yurs (= yur pen)? 2. Is this yur bk r mine(= my bk)?3. Lk at the tw pencils. The red ne is yurs(= yur pencil) and the blue ne is mine(= my pencil).
2. 名词性物主代词可以作主语、宾语和表语如：Yur bk is interesting, but mine is mre interesting. (作主语)These letters are his. (作表语)I lst my pen this mrning. May I brrw yurs? (作宾语)
II. 所作成分：1. 形容词性物主代词只能作定语。如： There is smething wrng with his cmputer. They lve their wrk in the shp.
注意与形容词性物主代词区分：形容词性物主代词起形容词的作用，用在名词前面。例如： Is this yur ftball? 这是你的足球吗？2. Are my crayns there t？ 我的蜡笔也在那里吗？
It’s my bk. = It’s mine.It’s yur hat. = It’s yurs.It’s his jacket. = It’s his.It’s her ruler. = It’s hers.It’s ur ftball. = It’s urs.It’s their ntebk. = It’s theirs.
形容词性的物主代词+名词
★ 构成:① 在单数名词的末尾加’s构成名词的所有格,表示“…的”。 Tny’s mther 托尼的妈妈 Tm’s pen 汤姆的钢笔
英语中的名词所有格表示一种所属关系, ’s所有格多用于有生命的名词。
② 在以-s 或-es结尾的复数名词后只需加’。 the girls’ bags 女孩们的书包③在不以-s 或-es 结尾的复数名词后，加’s 构成所有格。 Wmen’s Day 妇女节
④表示时间、距离的名词所有格与有生命的名词所有格构成方法相同。 tday’s class 今天的课
