参考答案1.C【原文】W: It’s nice to see you again. Where have you been these days?M: I went to Chicago to visit my uncle who runs a company there. What about you?W : I spent the holiday in the countryside with my family.2.C【原文】M: What can we do for you todays, madam?W: Something is wrong with my car. Every time I start it up, it runs for about one minute and then dies. It has enough gas and everything. What could the problem be?3.C【原文】W: I was so lucky to get a ticket to the concert last night. It was great fun. I went with my father.M: What did you do after the concert?W: I went straight home because I had to finish my homework. OK, Tim. I have to go. See you in class tomorrow.M: Bye. Anyway, I have to go home and finish my homework.4.A【原文】M: Look, that’s me when I was eight or nine in the photo, holding a model train engine.W: Was it part of that train set you’ve still got in your room?M: Yeah, my father and I built all that together. We used to spend hours playing with it.5.C【原文】M: This dress looks very nice on you. And it fits perfectly.W: Yeah, it fits, and the price is reasonable, but I usually wear plain colors. I’m not used to this kind of pattern. 6.C7.C【原文】M: Hello, Sarah. Good to see you again. Welcome to the company.W: Thank you. I know you asked me to come in a little later on my first day, but what time do I normally start work?M: Well, the office opens at 8:30 and the team starts work at a 9 o’clock meeting.W: What happens after the meeting?M: We take a break at 10:30. My assistant Mia makes coffee for us all. Then it’s time to call customers and make sales.W: That sounds good. 8.C9.A【原文】W: Hey, Brad. You didn’t take the envelope that was on the kitchen table, did you?M: No, why? Do you want to send a letter?W: Well, actually my new PIN number was in that envelope.M: You’re kidding me, are you?W: No, I’m not. I left it here this morning.M: Go and ask Jill. Maybe she’s seen it. 10.C11.B12.C【原文】W: Adam, I'm sorry.M: But where have you been, Alice? You’re over an hour late. W: Yes. But I couldn’t help it. I was late getting off work for a start, and then I missed the bus. The bus I did catch got caught in a traffic jam. M: But why were you so late getting off work? The office closes at six, doesn’t it?W: Yes, but there was a rush on at the moment, and my boss asked me to do some urgent letters. M: But didn’t you tell him you had an appointment?W: Well, no. I thought I’d finish in about five minutes. If it hadn’t been for missing the bus and the traffic, I wouldn’t have been so late. I’m sorry. M: Well, you’re here. And that’s the main thing. 13.A14.B15.C16.A【原文】W: Hi, Bob! I am so glad that you came.M: Of course I'd come. I couldn't think of a better chance to see all my old friends.W: It's hard to believe that it's been ten years since graduation.M: How time flies! How are things going with you?W: It's only recently that I've been able to start settling down. How about you? Are you still with Jenny?M: Yeah, Jenny and I got married right after graduation. It was hard for the first three years — I was supporting us both while she continued her studies — but now things are getting better. I work as a manager in a trade company and she's working at a law firm. It's all started to come together and we're finally able to make a life for ourselves.W: Oh, that sounds wonderful. I have always known you two would make it. I hope I can keep in better contact with you.M: Definitely! Actually, we just moved into a new place. There's a housewarming party this Saturday, if you are free.I know Jenny would love to see you again and it should be a good party.W: Sounds great! I am free this weekend and I'll be there. 17.A18.A19.B20.C【原文】M: OK, welcome to Fast&Furious Mini Cars! I know you guys know how to drive cars out on the streets, but that doesn’t mean we can automatically trust you to handle these smaller vehicles on this indoor racetrack. So, before we get started, I just want to go over some ground rules. Number 1: you must wear your helmet and seat belt at all times. Anyone who is found breaking this rule will be asked to leave the racetrack and will not receive a refund of their deposit. Number 2: please drive safely. This means no bumping into other cars on purpose, and be aware that drivers who are judged to be driving too aggressively will be given a warning before being asked to leave. Number 3: there is absolutely no eating, drinking, or smoking in the vehicles. There is a restaurant where drivers can relax between races, but nothing except the driver should be in the mini cars. Finally, please make sure you are familiar with all the safety features of the vehicles before the first race starts. These include the door locks, the emergency braking system, and the emergency lights. If there is an accident out on the track, you’ll need to be able to use these features as quickly and safely as possible. You’ve all signed your insurance forms already, so if there are no other questions, pick out your helmets and let’s get out to the track and check out the cars!
