An American diver set a new record for the deepest dive in history in May, 2019 when he sank nearly 36,000 feet. Victor Vescovo __1__ in his watercraft (水运工具) to the lowest part of the ocean in the Pacific's Mariana Trench, marking only the third time humans have __2__ the sea's extreme depths.
