2022届高考英语阅读理解专项训练(一)A阅读下面短文,从每题所给的ABCD四个选项中,选出最佳答案.As the new semester begins, high school freshmen have a fresh start.Freshmen in Mianyang Nanshan High School, Sichuan, received a gift from seniors to celebrate the new semester: a specially designed letter of acceptance. It’s a large, red paper-cut envelope decorated with a gold line drawing. When the folded (折叠的) letter is opened, a pop-up design (立体剪纸) of the school’s gate appears along with a detailed campus map.According to Sichuan Observer, this was designed by senior students who wish to help freshmen get accustomed to the new environment faster and more easily. In fact, all first-year students are encouraged to seek more tips to empower (赋能) them while starting this new journey. As students transition (过渡) from junior high, the first year of high school comes with increased pressure from a greater workload (工作量) and faster learning schedule. But seniors have some advice to ease (缓解) the transition. Li Shuyi, 17, from Xi’an Tieyi High School, Shaanxi, said initiative (主动性) and independence (独立) are important.  “No one is there to always keep a close eye on you,” Li said. “It means you set your own learning goals and achieve them independently.”Good methods can also double your success. Ma Chenyang, 17, from the Middle School Attached to Hebei Normal University, Shijiazhuang, suggested drawing charts or diagrams while taking notes.“When I prepared for gaokao, I studied physics and chemistry with the help of mind maps. They helped me to create my own system (体系) of knowledge,” said Ma.However, senior high is not all about learning and tests. It’s also about preparing for the future and discovering yourself.Zeng Xinyue, 16, from Fuzhou No 1 High School, Fujian, shared her experiences of attending extracurricular (课外的) activities. As a member of the school’s radio drama club, she found herself becoming more outgoing.“I used to be really shy and silent. Then I joined the club out of curiosity (好奇) and really enjoyed dubbing (配音) with our members,” said Zeng. “Besides making friends and having fun performances, I also try to write my own plays, which encourages me to use my imagination.”No matter what’s ahead, remember the wise words of Martin Luther King Jr, the American civil rights leader, “Take the first step in faith (信念). You don’t have to see the whole staircase (楼梯), just take the first step.”What do we know about the letter of acceptance from Mianyang Nanshan High School this year?It was designed by seniors to help freshmen. It was put in a red envelope with money. It was aimed to attract more students. It was used to show the art of paper cutting. What advice did Li Shuyi give to incoming freshmen?Work in groups.Learn independently.Take notes in class.Do more practice tests. How does attending extracurricular activities help Zeng Xinyue? It improves her test-taking skills. It helps her improve her character. It makes her popular in her class. It allows her to know what job she wants.B阅读下面短文,从每题所给的ABCD四个选项中,选出最佳答案For decades, Mars, also known as the Red Planet, has been an attraction for scientists. Despite the current amount of carbon dioxide (二氧化碳) in its atmosphere (大气) and the inability of the planet to support Earthly life forms, research has suggested that the planet was once able to host ecosystems (生态系统).Since the beginning of the 1960s, over 40 Mars exploration missions have been carried out. On July 23, China launched (发射) Tianwen 1, a Mars probe (探测器) named after a poem titled the Quest for Heavenly Truth by ancient Chinese poet Qu Yuan (about 340 – 278 BC). The mission (任务) marked China’s first step in planetary exploration of the solar system (太阳系).It will take Tianwen 1 six to seven months to reach the Red Planet. The probe is expected to land on Mars around February 2021. Yet the landing process might not be easy. NASA scientists once referred to a Mars landing as “the seven minutes of terror (恐怖)”. During those suspenseful (充满悬念的) 420 seconds, the Tianwen 1 has to slow down from 4.8 kilometers per second to zero and land on the Red Planet autonomously (自动地).Among [the] more than 40 Mars missions, only nine have been able to survive ‘the seven minutes of terror’,” Cui Xiaofeng from the Beijing Aerospace Flight Control Center said at a news conference. To prepare for the landing, Tianwen 1 will spend two to three months surveying (探测) potential (可能的) landing sites using a high-resolution (高分辨率的) camera. If the probe successfully lands, a rover (探测车) with an expected lifespan (寿命) of at least 90 Martian days (about three months on Earth) will be released to conduct scientific exploration. During this process, “the geological structure (地质结构), soil characteristics, distribution (分布) of groundwater, the climate and environment on the Red Planet will all be studied,” Liu Tongjie, spokesperson of China’s first Mars mission and deputy director of the Lunar Exploration and Space Program Center, told CGTN.The exploration of Mars is in its early stages. But hopefully, Tianwen 1 will help to provide answers to longtime questions from scientists and provide insight (洞悉) into mysteries of the Red Planet. What do we know about Tianwen 1?It was one of Chinese poet Qu Yuan’s ideas. It found that Mars could very likely support life.It measured carbon dioxide levels in Mars’ atmosphere. It was part of the first step in China’s planetary exploration. What does the article tell us about a Mars landing? It takes a probe about 10 minutes to land.It is very important and uncertain step in a Mars mission.Half of the probes sent to Mars have landed successfully.A Mars probe has to find a landing site without a plan. What is the main idea of the last two paragraphs? The importance of Tianwen 1’s mission. The future of China’s Mars exploration.Ways Tianwen 1 will conduct research.Different types of scientific research on Mars.C阅读下面短文,从每题所给的ABCD四个选项中,选出最佳答案Memory likes to play tricks on (捉弄) us, taking us to places we once loved, but haven’t seen in years. It was early morning, raining and cold. Something woke me. Two little feet bouncing (蹦跳) down the stairs. It was my 7-year-old grandson Henry on his way to the kitchen to “cook breakfast”.I suddenly thought about cookies. The perfections my grandmother baked in her wood stove (火炉). They were light as air and sweet as a baby’s smile. We’d cover them in butter (黄油) and top them with jam that we made with blackberries that I picked myself. That’s what life was like when I visited my grandmother on her farm – picking berries, milking cows, churning (搅拌) butter, eating cookies, chasing () lightning bugs (萤火虫) …What more could a child ever want? I loved it. I especially loved those cookies. I wish I knew how she made them.People take it for granted (觉得……理所应当) that there’ll always be time and opportunity to teach and learn all that they want to share and know.I learned a lot from my grandmother. How to read. How to sit in a swing at the end of a day and just be content (满足的).But I never learned how to make cookies her way. I’ve made them according to various recipes (食谱), with varying success. They’re not bad, but not half as good as hers were. My kids would wolf them down. They weren’t crazy about the cookies, but they loved butter and jam.I rolled out of bed and went downstairs to hug my grandchild and bake some cookies. They weren’t great cookies. But they were good enough. We covered them in butter and jam. Henry ate two and kept eyeing mine until I gave him half. Maybe someday he’ll say they were the best cookies ever. The memories we leave with our children and grandchildren and all of our loved ones – like the cookies we bake and the stories that will be told about us long after we are gone – are never made with perfection. They’re just made with love. Love makes everything better, even without butter and jam. What can we know about the author’s relationship with her grandma? Her grandma was too strict with her.Her grandma taught her how to cook. She enjoyed her time with her grandma. She spent most of her childhood on her grandma’s farm. How was the author probably feeling when she got out of bed?Loving.Bored.Confident.Annoyed.What is the author’s main purpose in writing this article? To share her favorite cookie recipe. To show that grandmas are always the best friends. To look back on the good old days with her grandma. To show that love is the secret ingredient of sweet memories.D阅读下面短文,从每题所给的ABCD四个选项中,选出最佳答案。The State Fair of Texas, the largest in the US, attracts over a million visitors every year with various entertainment (娱乐) events. But this year’s fair was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic (大流行). For Savannah Robison, the senior at Lake Dallas High School in Texas, US, this is upsetting (令人沮丧的). She has been looking forward to the fair’s youth livestock (家畜) competitions since last year. This is gonna be my last time showing in the show ring; it’s something really special to me,” the 17-year-old said.Youth livestock competitions are when teenagers raise their farm animals such as lambs and steers (), then show them at auction (拍卖). All participants are eligible (有资格的) for a Youth Livestock Scholarship, along with other contest- and auction-related awards.Robison paid a lot to get a State Fair champion banner (徽章). She has been saving half of her income from her part-time job for her pigs. Since mid-May, she’s spent two hours feeding, walking or bathing her three pigs every day.If I couldn’t show them, I think my whole summer would just be ruined,” Robison said. Now, there’s good news. Youth market livestock shows are currently rescheduled (重新安排) from Sept 23 to Oct 2.Daryl Real, the state fair’s senior vice president of agriculture (农业) and livestock, said that staff will remind people to wear masks and keep  social distance to ensure (确保) the safety of all attendees (参加者).However, “some students may still be weighing whether to come this year,” said market steer judge, Jirl Buck. “But I think [they] should go give it 100 percent and prepare their animals, and look forward to the opportunity to get to show at the Texas State Fair.”Rylie Hardin, a 17-year-old also from Lake Dallas High School, first stepped foot in a livestock arena (竞技场) at 3 years old. He wants to see his efforts pay off this year.I worked hard for this, I want to do it, and I don’t think it’s too risky for me,” said Hardin. If the state fair’s fall events are called off, Hardin said his dad is prepared to join others in the industry to organize a pig show of their own. “They know I want to,” he said. “This is what I love to do.”How did Robison feel about the news that this year’s fair was canceled?Lucky.Excited.Angry.Unhappy.What do teenagers do at the fair’s youth livestock competitions? They show the farm animals they raise. They show people their skills at auction. They compete for part-time job opportunities. They help farmers sell farm animals. What did Buck suggest the teenagers do?They should stay at home. They should attend the fair. They should prepare for next year’s fair. They should wear masks at the fair. What do we know about Hardin from the last two paragraphs? He is tired of raising farm animals. He thinks it is dangerous to attend the fair this year.He wants to organize a pig show by himself. He is interested in youth livestock competitions.                       2022届高考英语阅读理解专项训练(一) 参考答案A1~3ABBB4~6DBAC7~9CADD10~13DABD
