一、教学目标:
1. 语言目标:
(1)掌握短文中的词汇与短语,掌握谈论天气的语言材料。
(2)掌握以下句型:
① I'm having a great time visiting my aunt in Canada.
2. 过程与方法目标:掌握一些阅读技巧,学会找关键词、关键句。
3.情感态度价值观目标:
教育学生善于观察天气,善于调整自己的情绪;让学生意识到应当努力学习,学好科学知识,并且享受我们的生活。
二、教学重难点
1. 教学重点:
(1) 描述在不同的天气情况中人们正在做的事情。
(2) 阅读短文,提高获取相关信息的能力。
2. 教学难点
阅读短文,提高学生的阅读能力。
三、教学过程
Step1. Free talk and lead in.
Boys and girls,today we’ll have a competition between Group A and Group B.
Are you ready?
- Ask students some questions about the weather.
(1)How is the weather today?
(2)What kind of weather do you like?
- Talk about pictures in 2a.
(1)Show some postcards to students and ask them :
What are they?
Did you get postcards from your friends?
(2)Jane is very happy today,because she got two postcards from her friends.Do you want to know what the postcards are about? Before we read them,please look at the three pictures and talk about them:How is the weather?What are the people doing?
Step2.Reading
1.Fast reading.(2b)
Read the postcards in 2b and match each postcard with the correct picture in 2a. (Remind students to find some key words to helm them.)
Students read the postcards quickly and match the postcard with the correct picture. Then check the answers.
- Careful reading.(2c)
(1) Read the passage again and fill in the chart in 2c.
(2) Discuss answers with partners.
(3) Check answers with the class. (Remind students to find some key sentences)
Step3. After Reading :discuss some questions.
1.What do you think of Su Lin and Dave?
2.What can we learn from them?
