三、教学过程
Step1 Warming-up and Lead in
To give the students some pictures and videos about Strauss Waltz . Let them watch and then talk about Western music.
Step 2 Work in pairs.
Look at the pictures of Activity 1 and describe it. Use the words from the box to help the students.
Step3 Reading
1. Scanning
Ask the students to scan the passage and answer the questions as quickly as they can.
How many composers are mentioned in the passage? Who are they?
2. Listening
Ask the students to listen to the tape and do the exercises of Activity 2.
1) Many musicians came to study and work in Vienna.
2) Strauss the younger played the piano, the violin and the drums at the age of six.
