Hell, Li Ming!This week in schl, we had a classrm Olympics! Our class had five different events-jump rpe, lng jump, sit-ups, push-ups and “Jump ver the Dinsaur”. Everyne cmpeted in each event, ne by ne.The events were fun! Sandra wn first place in jump rpe. She jumped 180 times in ne minute withut stpping. Lisa wn secnd place in lng jump. She jumped very far, but kim jumped farther.But my favurite event was Danny’s. He called it “Jump ver the Dinsaur”. It was a race. Each persn walked n sme paper pizzas, climbed thrugh a cardbard dnut and then jumped ver a ty dinsaur. We used a watch t see wh was the fastest.What was the result? Danny wn the race! Nne f us culd catch him. But I was clse. I was nly tw secnds slwer than Danny. Brian was sad because he lst. He came in twentieth. He did his best, but he kept falling ff the pizzas!Jenny

注解:这句看似很长,其实是一个并列句,它的主语是each persn, 后面出现的两个简单句是省去主语each的。

注解: catch sb.等同于catch up with, 意为赶得上……; 超过……,后面可跟人也可跟物,例:He runs s fast, s I cannt catch up with him all the time.他跑的那么快,以至于我总是赶不上 。We must catch up with times. 我们必须与时俱进。
