    speak up表示“大点儿声说”。例如:

    Step 8 Grammar
    形容词与副词
    对于形容词与副词,我们主要掌握两点,一是形容词与副词的句法功能,二是形容词与副词的比较级和最高级。
    1. 形容词的句法功能
    一般来说,形容词可以放在名词之前作定语,也可以放在系动词之后作表语,还可以作宾语补足语等。例如:
    Did yu see that ld phtgraph that I fund? It’s a lvely picture.
    你看见我找到的那张老照片了吗?画面真美。(定语)
    They were very nice. 他们 很友善。(表语)
    Peple’s lives seem busy nw. 现在人们的生活似乎很忙碌。(表语)
    We must keep ur classrm clean and tidy.
    我们必须保持教室干净整洁。(宾语补足语)
    形容词作定语一般都是放在名词之前,但是如果修饰的是不定代词smething, anything, nthing, smebdy, anybdy, nbdy等,就要放在后面。例如:
    Is there anything special in the paper tday? 今天报纸上有 什么特别的新闻吗?
    I didn’t find anything funny abut it. 我觉得这事一点儿都不可笑。
    There is nthing new in the stre. 商店里没有什么新东西。
    很多副词都以-ly结尾,但是“名词+ly”的词则多为形容词,如:weekly, friendly等,应注意区别。例如:
    A friendly vice answered the phne. 接电话的是一个友好的声音。
    2. 副词的 句法功能
    副词一般用作状语,修饰动词、形容词、副词以及全句,表示程度、方式等。例如:
    They speak highly f yu.
    他们对你的评价很高。
    We were very lucky t find yu here.
    我们很幸运在这里找到了你。
    The spring passed t quickly.
    春天过得太快了。
    Hpefully, we’ll meet again n Friday.
    希望我们星期五再见面。
    3. 形容词与副词的比较级和最高级
    就形容词、副词的比较级和最高级而言,一是要掌握比较级和最高级的构成,二是要掌握比较级句型。
    1) 比较级的句型
    (1) 比较级+than,表示“比…更…”
    e.g. Health is mre imprtant than wealth. 健康比财富更重要。
    He gt up earlier than I did this mrning. 今天早上他起得比我早。
    (2) 比较级+ and+比较级,表示“越来越……”。
    e.g. The stry gets mre and mre exciting. 故事变得越来越激动人心。
    Our lives are getting better and better. 我们的生活越来越好。
    (3) The+比较级,the+比较级,表示 “越……,越……”
    e.g. The mre time yu spend n it, the greater prgress yu will make.
    你在这上面花的时间越多,你的进步就会越大。
    The mre he talked, the mre excited he grew. 他越说越激动。
    同级比较一般采用…句型,否定句可以用nt s / as…表示。
    e.g. He is as tall as his father. 他和父亲一样高。
    I get up nt s early as yu. 我不如你起得早。
    2) 最高级的表达方式
    (1) the+ 最高级+ f/in…
    e.g. Jim is the tallest f the three. 吉姆是三人中最高的。
    He is the mst diligent stude nt in his class. 他是班上最勤奋的学生。
    (2) 选择疑问句
    e.g. Wh is the tallest, Tm, Jack r Bill? 汤姆、杰克和比尔,谁个子最高?
    (3) th e+最高级+定语从句
    e.g. It is the mst interesting bk I have ever read.
    这是我所读过的最有趣的一本书。
    3) 比较级和最高级的修饰语
    比较级和最高级的修饰语应置于其所修饰的形容词或副词之前。常见的比
    较级修饰语有much, still, a lt, even, far等。
    e.g. He wrked much harder then. 那时他工作要努力得多。
    常见的最高级修饰语有almst, by far, far, much等。
    e.g. This is by far the mst expensive bag in the shp.
    这是目前这家商店里最贵的包。
