To learn the sentence structure “enough …to…”

To learn the sentence structure “too…to…”

2. Ability aims:

To use “enough …to…” to describe a person’s personalities and abilities

To use “too…to…” to express a negative result

3. Emotion aims:

To learn from others and be friendly to others

To know the importance of teamwork

Teaching procedures

Step1 Warming up and lead-in

Discussion time: enjoy a video and discuss

1. Who is your favourite character?

2. Why do you like him/ her?

Step2 Presentation

1. Present the sentence structures according to the characters’ personalities and abilities

2. Work out the rules

Step3 Practice

1. Wechat time: use “enough …to…” to describe the hare’s new friends

2. Diary time: use “too…to…” to rewrite some sentences in the hare’s diary

3. Entertainment time: use “enough …to…” or “too…to…” to talk about some pictures

4. Race time: use “enough …to…” or “too…to…” to complete the story about the second race between the tortoise and the hare

Step4 Summary time

Step5 Homework

1. Remember the structures and use them to make sentences.
