Step 1 Free talk

1. T: I had a trip to Yunnan this summer and had a good time. You know, I love travelling.

  T: How about you?

  T: Where have you been before? Do you like it?

  T: What place of interest do you know?

  T: Do you want to go travelling?

  T: Can we go travelling now? Why?

  (Ss: Because we have to work and study now.)

2. What a pity! But how can we make our dream of travelling come true now?

  T: A website can make our dream of travelling come true now.

Step 2 Revision

1. Let’s go to the place. Please look at the blackboard. What’s it?

  T: Do you want to eat it?

  T: But we can’t eat it. This is the apple city-New York.

Step 3 Retell and learn the language points

1. T: There are four famous places in New York. What are they? (Wall Street, Times Square, Central Park, Broadway)

2. T: First, let’s go to this place. Where is it?

  Can you introduce Wall Street?(Retell) This is Manhattan Island, and Wall Street is at the southern end of the island.

  How can we get the word southern? We can add ern to south.
