教学过程 | 1.Warm-up Activity 1) Students play a telepath game where they need to read teacher’s mind and choose the correct answers. 2) After playing the game, teacher and students do some math counting problems to learn number 30-90.
2.Listen and Chant 1) Teacher and students listen to and chant the song.
3.Listen and Read 1) Teacher asks students a prompting question “What are the children talking about?” before the video. 2) Students watch the video and answer the question. 3) Students read the dialogues together.
4.Key Points 1) Teacher explains the rule and the meaning of “How many” structure and its response. 2) Examples are also given to students.
5.Read and Say 1) Teacher instructs students to use “there be” to talk about the information in the grid. 6.Listen and Repeat 1) Teacher teaches the sound of “ow,ou”, “trigraph ear, air, are” in order. 2) Then teacher follow the table on the textbook to practice each sound in words.
7.Listen and Say, then Chant 1) Teacher explains the lyrics first and then guides students to chant in a pleasant manner.
8.Count and Say 1) Two students on a team. Students are asked to imitate the example and say the sentences together. The team who does best will get prize or points according to the classroom reward system.
9.Do and Write 1) Students are required to carry out a survey of their classmates by using the target sentences. 2) Then students share the information they take down. |

课后作业 | 1) Listen to and read aloud the dialogues in Activities 1-2. 2) Practice singing the song in Activity 5 and make up a long dialogue with your partner on the topic of “the number of objects around you”. No less than six sentences. 3) Complete the synchronization exercises.
