第四课时 Section B (2a-2c)目标导航 类别课时要点重点单词save v.救;救助flag n.旗;旗帜forget v.忘记;遗忘place n.地点;位置water n.水danger n.危险cut v.砍;切down adv.(坐、躺、倒)下 prep.向下;沿着tree n.树kill v.杀死;弄死over prep.超过,多于;在……上方 重点短语get lost 迷路be in (great) danger处于(极大)危险之中cut down 砍倒(be) made of 由……制成的重点句型1.The elephant is one of Thailand?s symbols.大象是泰国的象征之一。2.Elephants can walk for a long time and never get lost.大象能够长时间行走而且从不迷路。3.But elephants are in great danger.但是大象面临巨大的危险。4.We must save the trees and not buy things made of ivory.我们必须拯救树木,拒买象牙制品。教学重点1.通过对课文的学习,让学生了解大象的生存状况,珍惜并爱护野生动物。2.让学生能看懂思维导图。教学难点让学生能运用所学的知识来描述一些自己熟悉的动物。教学过程预习指导一、方法指导1.预习Page 29中的生词并掌握其词性及汉语意思。2.朗读2b的文章,掌握文章大意,并试着翻译成汉语。3.根据文章内容及2c的思维导图尝试自己整理出思维导图。二、预习检测根据句意及汉语提示完成单词1.Thank you for saving (救助) my cat. 2.One of the flags (旗帜) is Mike?s. 3.His sister often forgets (忘记) to clean the room. 4.Wow,what tall trees (树) they are! 5.At school Millie has over (超过) five good friends. 课堂教学Step 1 Leading in1.Greet the class.2.Play a video about elephants and introduce their current situation.Step 2 Work on 2a1.Let the students check the animals that they think are in great danger.2.Ask several students to share their opinions.3.Lead the students to think about how to protect endangered animals.Step 3 Work on 2b1.Ask the students to look through the article and underline the content they are unfamiliar with.Then let them look up the dictionary or discuss with their partners.2.Get the students to read the article and check the best title for it.3.Make two students share their answers.4.Lead the students to learn the article sentence by sentence.Step 4 Work on 2c1.Have the students read the article again and finish the practice in 2c.2.Check the answers with the whole class.3.Ask the students to close their books and summarize the article.板书设计1.(be)made of...意为“由……制成”。当made of...作定语修饰名词时,放在该名词后面。2.cut down意为“砍倒”。接代词作宾语时,放在cut和down之间;接名词作宾语时,可放在cut和down之间,也可以放在cut down后面。教学反思 本课时涉及的内容较多,但由于大部分词汇和句型前两课时已经进行了深入学习,学生并没有觉得太难。2b和2c部分是本课时的重点,老师把主要时间和精力用在这两个环节,学生学起来也比较轻松。
