There was an amazing vide I watched nline the ther day abut a man playing the pian in the middle f the airprt. And withut a single unce f cmmunicatin, anther guy randmly sat next t him and started playing alng. Why wuld a persn want t get invlved in music? Here are fur reasns.
Music helps yu gain friends.
It didn’t matter wh the peple were, where they belnged t, r what their appearances were, the music that was being played had united them all. Even musicians wh barely knw ne anther have situatins where they get tgether thrugh music.
Music helps yu find ut wh yu are and what yu’re meant t d.
Because I didn’t have much supprt in schl, I ften felt rather lnely. Withut music t stir my thughts and dig deep int my emtins, discvering what my passins were wuld have been nearly impssible. But after beginning my life as a musician it suddenly made life clearer. My decisins and thughts became easier t understand and wh I was began standing ut. Yu see, when yu play an instrument fr a given time perid, yu stp questining what keys yu have t strke next. Yur fingers and hands are guided by yur emtins and natural instincts.
Music has the uncanny ability t heal(治愈) yu.
A key nte I’ve taken while either playing an instrument r listening t thers play theirs is that the meldies and beats are what helps regulate yur heart rate. This is why listening t classical r sft music can lwer peple’s anxieties and calm their nerves. Yur brain respnds t music by releasing the chemical dpamine(多巴胺), which is assciated with(与……有关系) pleasure and relief. That is why music is repeatedly used t remedy negative emtins.

D yu knw the prverb “n pains, n gains”? It gives the impressin that we ught t be suffering while we study. It seems that the nly way t knw if we’re putting in enugh wrk is hw much hardship we bear. We are ttally taken up with study, shutting urselves away fr a big exam. Is that necessarily true?
When we haven’t taken the time t cme up with anther idea, we just shut urselves in a rm with a bk. It’s n surprise that we find revisin bring and difficult. Just as children learn frm playing, we can learn frm ding, r at least frm study techniques that interest us, rather than make us switch ff. Shutting urselves away can make us learn t hate studying, leading t a situatin where, instead f being able t cncentrate n ur wrk, we are trubled by hw unfair it is that we must study. This can be part f a vicius(恶性的) cycle that traps us int ineffective revisin, r pr prgress fueling(增加) further annyance.
Thankfully, wrking in the cmpany f ther peple really helps fight against that. We just need t learn hw t deal with distractins(分心). It’s nt necessary t avid all cmpany, just lazy cmpany. They cnstantly try t keep thers in cnversatin. While studying in the same rm with smene wh is irning r wrking ut is perfectly pssible. Of curse, it’s als a gd idea t avid the cmpany f peple invlved in activities where yu wuld rather be playing than studying. Wrking while sitting next t smene playing vide games is mst likely t end with a new high scre games rather than prductive revisin.
If being arund thers means wrking in a nisy envirnment, a pair f headphnes and sme backgrund music can blck ut nises. They als act as a psychlgical barrier, s that peple think twice befre interrupting yu. Besides, we shuld knw friends and family can lessen feelings f islatin. And cnnecting with ther peple makes us happy, s it’s imprtant nt t give that up and t make sure that we take the time t scialize.
30. What can we learn frm Paragraph 2?
A. Gd ideas are needed in terms f prgress.
B. Ways that interest us can lead t effective revisin.
C. Shutting urselves away can help cncentrate n wrk.
D. Revisin is interesting and easy with study techniques fr certain.
31. Accrding t Paragraph 3, the writer prbably agrees that ________.
A. ne shuld learn frm certain activities that interest us
B. playing vide games is helpful fr an effective study
C. ne shuldn’t study with the cmpany f a vide player
D. the mre time ne spends in playing games, the higher test scres ne will get
32. In the writer’s pinin, if yu study in a nisy envirnment, yu shuld ________.
A. spend n time scializingB. give up thers’ cmpany at nce
C. give signs f nt wanting t be interruptedD. frce yurself t be used t the envirnment
33. What is the writer’s main purpse in writing this passage?
A. T intrduce an effective studying means.B. T encurage us t wrk as hard as pssible.
C. T remind us t balance activities and study.D. T discuss the imprtance f family cmpany.

The Sprt f Cncentratin
Every day, it seems, a new gadget(设备) prmises t help me increase the distance and pace I run, r the number f hurs I sleep, r the rate f my heartbeats. It will make me a “better me,” r s the stry ges.
Maybe sme f them actually help t d these things, but nnetheless, I still decided t sell all f my sprts gadgets a few mnths ag and simply recrd my running times with a pen and a ntepad. Sn after, I began t train fr a marathn the ld-fashined way, withut smething n my wrist telling me my pace and current heart rate. As it turned ut, running withut knwing all that infrmatin was a great pleasure.
In the past, whenever I was running slwer than my smartwatch said I shuld be, I’d frce myself t speed up, even if it was clear that my bdy didn’t want t. But this time, I ran the way I wanted t.
On mre than a few ccasins, when I’d lk at my ntepad fllwing key wrkuts(锻炼), I was shcked t see that I’d had sme real breakthrughs(突破), running much faster than I thught I culd. I was s shcked abut these numbers and thught that if I’d seen them during the wrkut itself, I wuld have prbably slwed dwn. Yet, because I was blind t them, I just kept n running.
Anther psitive thing abut getting rid f all my running gadgets is that it’s helping me cncentrate(集中注意力) mre n the running itself. Since I n lnger feel like I need technlgy t run well, I can g ut and run withut wrrying abut whether everything has enugh battery pwer.
S, what’s the lessn here? Well, we culd very easily replace the example f running with writing, studying, r anything else. N matter what it is the mre time we spend wrrying abut hw t make urselves better at smething, the mre ur perfrmance is affected.
Shuld yu stp using technlgy t “imprve” yur perfrmance? Of curse, that’s up t yu. Hwever, if I were t be asked that questin, I’d certainly say that I’m better ff withut it.
34. When did the writer decide t sell all f the sprts gadgets?
35. Why was the writer shcked?
36. What’s anther psitive thing withut any running gadgets?
37. What des the writer learn frm the example f running?
38. What d yu think f sprts gadgets? Why d yu think s?
