However, it didn’t come out until 1996, four years after my first published novel. After school, I went to university where I studied law. However, I never practiced law. I was lucky enough to get a holiday job on a local newspaper as a reporter, and I stayed there. This, of course, gave me lots of opportunities to improve my writing skills. I had my first novel published during that period. It was called Tango. it wasn’t a great success, but it gave me useful contacts in the publishing world.
