They are smart．They know how to steal．They know how to find food．They know how to intimidate(恐吓) ．Who are they? Since I was born and brought up in a rural town, I have a great interest in nature．Using the chance
of studying abroad in my second year at college, I decided to go to Canada just because I wanted to see the beautiful phenomena there．So after I finished the study program, I went to Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories．
I clearly remember the sixth night in Yellowknife．Suddenly my host mother came to my room
around 8 p．m．and told me to change clothes and go outside quickly carrying her camera．

first appear in the north part of the sky and then they gradually come down to the south part of the sky．After that, suddenly, they come in the middle of the north and south only for a while, which is the time when the best northern lights can be seen．Since it is only a few seconds for the northern lights to come down to the middle of the sky, it is very hard to get good pictures．
The stronger the sun acts, the better and stronger the northern lights flicker in the sky．That’s
because they come about from the collisions (碰撞) between atmospheric gases and the solar wind．Much more solar wind comes to the earth when the sun is active, which leads to the best northern lights．And the colors of the northern lights depend on the height of the collisions and the kinds of gases．

Even as Google plans to test its fleet (车队) of self-driving cars on public roads this summer, its business model remains a bit of a mystery．By 2025, as many as 250,000 self-driving vehicles could be sold each year globally, according to a study by an industry research firm．
“Vehicles that can take anyone from A to B at the push of a button could transform mobility for
millions of people,” said Chris Urmson, director of Google’s self-driving car project．For now, Google
has no plans to sell any of its self-driving cars．They are strictly for research．But they will hit public roads this summer near Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California．Previous testing has taken place only on closed courses．
The cars are built to operate without a steering wheel, accelerator (油门) or brake pedal．“Our
software and sensors do all the work,” Urmson said．“The vehicles will be very basic — we want to learn from them and adapt them as quickly as possible — but they will take you where you want to go at the push of a button．” The prototype (雏形) is the first of a 100-car fleet the tech giant is building．
In the long run, Urmson sees a future of safer roads — the majority of auto accidents are caused by
human error — and fewer traffic jams．Robotic cars could also shuttle people who can’t drive because of age or illness．
Google has said that self-driving cars could launch new business models in which people buy the
use of vehicles they don’t own．The company has already tested other types of self-driving cars on public streets, including modified Lexus sport-utility vehicles, under a special permit program by the California Department of Motor Vehicles that requires a human driver at the controls．
The state has issued six other companies permits to operate such cars, including Delphi,
Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Tesla, Bosch and Nissan．The vehicles that will be tested on open roads this summer will have removable steering wheels, accelerators and brake pedals to allow “safety drivers” to take control if needed．

and their noises．Sure that this had been an evil trick pulled by his neighbor, the second man again started planning his revenge immediately．
And so it went on．
They continued trying to get back at each other, and each time their acts of revenge got bigger and more stupid．The dropping of that single piece of paper ended up causing a fire siren(警报)，the driving of
a truck into a garden fence, the throwing of stones at windows, and finally the dropping of a bomb which
destroyed both men’s houses．
