A new video involving John Cena is popular, but it isn't of the popular wrestler competing with another wrestler. No, it's 9-year-old Benjamin Russo creating a huge portrait of Cena with 750 Rubik's Cubes(魔方).
The video starts with Benjamin holding up a series of cards, in which he explains he has dyslexia and struggles with reading and writing. "I mix tip my words. I get very upset sometimes," the cards read. "But having dyslexia also means I can do something amazing! Like this" The video then shows Benjamin putting hundreds of Rubik’s Cubes into specific places. In the end, all 750 cubes have been arranged and the patterns come together to show a portrait of Cena. Then. Benjamin lifts up two more cards. They read: "Dyslexia is not my disability. Dyslexia is my superpower."
Benjamin's amazing talent caught the attention of Cena. "This young boy is proving to people that anything is possible-no matter what your learning disorder is," Cena wrote online. "Benjamin shows up courage, determination, strengthand he's an artist!" Cena even called Benjamin "a hero of mine".
Dyslexia is a common learning disability that results in difficulties with specific language skills, particularly reading. Benjamin's dyslexia makes homework and school a struggle, but it also allows his amazing talent to shine through, his mom, Melanie, explained.
"Dyslexic brains are very different. The right side is really strong, so they can be very artistic, very musical. I truly believe that he has this amazing ability because of dyslexia," Melanie said.
Unfortunately, the family can't buy 750 Rubik's Cubes every time Benjamin takes on a new project. However, he has already completed his next one-it's none other than Keanu Reeves.
Benjamin's parents hope his story will change how people see dyslexia. "The general public sees dyslexia basically as flipping(翻转)words around, and that's where it ends," Louis, his father, said. "We never talk about the advantages and the special gifts that many dyslexics have, and Benjamin is not alone. So I think that’s what we’re trying to do: get the positives out there and leave the negatives behind."
24. What worries Benjamin according to the video?
A. He has difficulty in learning. B. He is uninterested in writing.
C. He can’t speak out at school. D. He can’t solve a Rubik’s Cube.
25. How does Benjamin look at his dyslexia?
A. It hides his gift and intelligence. B. It makes him embarrassed to speak in public.
C. It has helped him behave well at school. D. It has turned into an advantage.
26. What was Cena's attitude to Benjamin?
A. He doubted Benjamin's ability. B. He expressed his gratitude to Benjamin.
C. He had mixed feelings about Benjamin. D. He gave Benjamin plenty of praise.
27. W hat do Benjamin’s parents make an effort to do?
A. Discover Benjamin's special talent. B. Change public opinion of dyslexia.
C. Get economic support from the public. D. Buy 750 Rubik's Cubes for Benjamin.

Businesses need to predict change and spot new trends(趋势) in order to stay relevant and beat the competition. But how can they know what the next big thing is before everyone else?
One important step in identifying (识别) trends is to tell them apart from fads, which don't last long. It's often hard to tell the difference between trends and fads in their early stages. But there are several signs we can look out for. First, trends can make money; businesses should be able to see how they can take advantage of a new trend and plan long-term strategies. Second, trends tend to link with one another. For example, the trend of online shopping is related to a bigger trend-the rise of e-business. And third, trends usually appeal to a wide range of people.
Another way of spotting trends is to observe people's hobbies. The idea for social networking sites came from noticing that people liked to share photographs or personal information in their free time.
The importance of spotting trends has led to a growing industry with a range of new jobs. These vary from individual trend consultants to entire teams of people in large companies. Social media(社交媒体) analysts look through huge amounts of data online. Kevin Allocca, whose job is to analyze trends on YouTube, spends his day looking through news headlines and popular videos to help his company look out for industry trends.
Predictive tech analyzes online conversations, blogs, videos, and even photo descriptions. Predictive tech apps search the Web for keywords, and then compare the data to find common topics. There are also predictive tech websites that encourage trend spotters to work together and submit ideas for new trends. Springwise is a website that allows its members to submit business ideas that they think will work in their city or country. If a member's idea is featured on the website, they receive points that can be exchanged for money.
Trendspotting isn't easy, but it is an important sill. Businesses around the world are competing to find the next big thing, and only those that are able to predict and make use of trends will come out on top.
28. How do trends differ from fads?
A. They are unlikely to make money. B. They mainly attract young people.
C. They are related to other trends. D. They stay popular for a short time.
29. What can we learn about Allocca?
A. He is a trend spotter. B. He has invented many social networking tools.
C. He is in charge of writing the news. D. He has started a trend for posting popular videos online.
30. What does the author intend to do in paragraph 5?
A. Explain how predictive technology works.
B. Introduce different business skills.
C. Present how businesses beat the competition.
D. Encourage people to work together and exchange ideas.
31. What would be the best title for the text?
A. Finding new marketing strategies B. Changing industry trends
C. Identifying trends D. Taking advantage of technology
D
The effort to increase profitability on farmlands has required the use of large amounts of chemicals and pesticides(杀虫剂). Scientists work with grains, fruits, and vegetables in order to grow much larger sized produce. In addition, animals such as cows and sheep raised on farms are regularly injected with artificial hormones to create more meat per animal. This, of course, affects the animals' health, and many notice it affects human consumers' health as well. The use of so many other types of chemicals in the farming industry also does a lot of harm to the environment. In response to these issues, the organic agriculture movement is developing.
Organic agriculture has provided a solution to the harmful use of chemicals. Farmers cannot risk losing their crops to insects, but pesticides, even in small amounts, are not healthy for consumers. Thus, organic farming uses alternative methods. Instead of using chemicals, farmers often use bags to cover plants. Also, natural predators are used to fighting insect pests. Farmers release tiny pirate bugs, ladybugs, etc. into their farms. Genetically-modified plants are another way to fight insect pests so that they are no longer attracted to the taste of the plants. However, modifying plants genetically is still controversial to those who advocate a completely natural approach to farming. Farmers use pesticides from natural sources as well. It is very challenging to raise a successful crop without the threat of insect pests, so many choose to use these more effective, yet still controversial methods.
The most important reason for using natural pesticides is to avoid the environmental damage from pesticides that ruin soil and water quality. Though completely natural methods are not as cost-effective in a market society, there has been significant improvement in organic farming methods.
32. Why are artificial hormones used on animals?
A. To raise healthier animals. B. To make more money.
C. To help humans eat scientifically. D. To reduce chemical use in farming.
33. What is paragraph 2 mainly about?
A. The history of organic agriculture. B. Safe alternatives to chemicals in agriculture.
C. Warnings against the use of pesticides. D. The introduction of genetically-modified plants.
34. What does the underlined word "they" in paragraph 2 refer to?
A. Chemicals. B. Genetically-modified plants.
C. Natural predators. D. Insect pests.
35. Which of the following organic farming ways causes disagreement?
A. Changing genes of plants. B. Using natural pesticides on crops.
C. Covering plants with bags. D. Introducing natural enemies of pests.

A friend of mine whose name was John Smith had a bad memory, which made him farmous. He was so forgetful that he sometimes forgot what he was talking about in the middle of a sentence. His wife had to constantly remind him about his meetings, his classes-even his meals! Once he forgot he had eaten breakfast twice, at home and at school. His wife liked to remind her neighbors, "If John didn't have his head tied on, he would forget that too!" Since Smith was a professor at a well-known university, his forgetfulness was often an embarrassment to him. It wasn't that he was not clever, as some critical people tended to say, but just very, very absent-minded.
One hot summer day, professor Smith decided to lake his children to a seaside town about a three-hour train ride away. To make the trip more interesting for his young children, he kept the name of the town a secret. However, by the time they arrived at the station, Smith forgot the name of the town he was planning to visit, Luckily, a friend of his happened to be in the station. He offered to take care of the children while Smith hurried back home to find out where he was going.
The professor's wife was surprised to see him again so soon.
"Oh, my dear, I forget the name of the town."
"What? You forget the name? Maybe one day you will forget my name! Now I'll write the name of that town on a piece of paper, and you put it in your pocket and please, please don't forget where you put it."
Satisfied that she had solved the problem, she sent her husband off again. Ten minutes later she was astonished to see him outside the house for the third time.
Paragraph 1:
"What is the matter now?" asked his wife.
Paragraph 2:
Hearing the cry, out rushed their neighbors, trying to find out what had happened.
