Recently, the result of the national reading survey has been announced and it paints a brighter future for reading habits in the Internet times. Last year, 21, 270 men from 55 cities answered the survey. It showed that the Chinese people's reading rate increased slightly over the year before. Reading rate means the percentage of citizens regularly reading books, newspapers and digital(数字) reading materials.
The survey shows that the daily reading time and yearly reading number of paper books, printed newspapers and magazines have dropped, while digital reading has continuously increased. Every day Chinese people use different digital devices like mobile phones, personal computers or iPads for 100.41 minutes on average(平均), 15.5 percent higher than the year before.
According to the survey, Chinese people’s reading habits have changed because mobile phones provide more chances to get different kinds of reading materials on digital platforms. More than 50 percent of the Chinese people who were interviewed prefer digital reading, mostly on mobile phones.
Another interesting result is that an increasing number of people like to listen to audiobooks(有声读物). More than 30 percent of the people who answered the survey listen to audiobooks, higher than the year before. It may have something to do with the way people go to and from work—many people in the countryside drive or take public transport for long hours, which leads to the greater need for audiobooks. 六、七选五
答案:①-⑤ GCADF
解析:①由后面两句"It is reported that around 2,800 million people often use social media. That's almost 40 percent of the world's population." 可知, 世界上几乎40%的人经常使用社交媒体, 社交媒体如今成为人们日常生活中的一部分, 故选G。
②由前句"Research shows that, worldwide, the average person spends two hours and 19 minutes on social media each day." 及后句"An average person there spends four hours and 17 minutes a day on social media." 可知选C。
③由后面两句"In general, it seems we spend more time looking at other people's pages than adding to our own. According to one survey, the most common social media activities are visiting friends' pages, reading their news, and commenting on their posts." 可知选A。
④由后面的"In second place, however, is the Chinese site Qzone." 可知, 中国的QQ空间处于世界的第二位, 故此处应用与"世界第一" 有关的句子, 由此可定位于D项"最受欢迎的社交媒体网站是脸书"。故选D。
⑤由前句"Social media continues to grow." 及后句中的"this growth won't stop anytime soon" 可知, 社交媒体的使用人数仍然在继续增长, 故此处应用与人数增长有关的句子, 由此可定位于F项"目前每秒钟有5名新的脸书用户"。故选F。
七、任务型阅读
答案:①up ②fewer ③half ④avoid/stop/prevent ⑤follow
解析:①句意: 中国人的阅读习惯正在改变, 阅读率在上升。根据第一段中的"It showed that the Chinese people's reading rate increased slightly"可知阅读率在上升, 此处用increase的近义表达go up。故答案为up。
②句意: 中国人很少读纸质书、印刷的报纸和杂志。根据第二段中的"the daily reading time and yearly reading number of paper books, printed newspapers and magazines have dropped"可知, 纸质书、印刷的报纸和杂志的每日阅读时间和年阅读量在下降, fewer和less都表示"较少的", fewer修饰可数名词, less修饰不可数名词, 原句中books是可数名词, 所以此处填fewer。故答案为fewer。
③句意: 被采访的一半以上的中国人更喜欢在手机上阅读。根据第三段中的"More than 50 percent of the Chinese people who were interviewed prefer digital reading, mostly on mobile phones."可知超过50%, 也就是超过一半, 用over a half。故填half。
④句意: 听有声读物能帮助避免在上下班的路上感到无聊。根据"people go to and from work—many people in the countryside drive or take public transport for long hours, which leads to the greater need for audiobooks"可知, 上下班要坐很长时间的车导致了有声读物的需求增长, 可知此处用动词avoid或者stop或者prevent表示"避免, 阻止"。故应填avoid/stop/prevent。
⑤句意: 相关部门应该注意到并跟随这些变化。根据最后一段中的"the relevant authorities should pay attention to it and shouldn't fall behind"可知此处用not fall behind(不掉队, 不落后)的近义表达follow, 表示"紧跟步伐, 跟随"。故填follow。
八、选词填空
答案:①appeared ②especially ③share ④and ⑤looking ⑥sides ⑦on ⑧other ⑨before ⑩good
spend...on…意为"花费……在……上"。故填on。
⑧由上文的"On the one hand" 可知, 这里是On the other hand, 意为"另一方面"。故填other。
⑨句意: 依我看, 抖音应该在视频上传之前检查这些视频, 目的是为它的使用者营造一个健康的环境。由句意可知, 这里填before, 引导时间状语从句。
⑩句意: 抖音对于青少年来说是不好的。我们不应该太经常使用它。由语境可知填good。
九、书面表达
答案:
To be a good student
Good morning, everyone! It's my great honor to be here to share a few thoughts on how to be a good student with you.
As we know, good grades come from good study habits, so a good student should be active and listen carefully to the teachers in class, and finish homework on time after class.
What's more, a good student lives a healthy life. He needs to spend some time doing sports every day. It is important to have healthy food like fruit and vegetables as well.
Last but not least, a good student must have good manners. For example, if someone is in your way, you should be patient enough to wait till he moves. Also, a good student should remember to say "Please" and "Thank you" all the time. I hope that each of us can be a better one from now on.
That's all. Thank you for your listening.
