    Step1. Greeting and lead-in
    Greeting
    Sing a sng< Tw little blackbirds>
    Questin: why d the little blackbirds fly away?
    引导学生用Unit6 所学知识回答:
    Because the air is dirty.
    Because there aren’t any trees n the hill. They have n hme.
    T: Nw ur living envirnment is plluted, s we shuld prtect the Earth.——出示课题并教读。We shuld make the Earth a better place fr yu and me, and the entire human race.
    Step 2. Pre-reading
    出示无污染的地球图片。
    T:Lk, the Earth is a beautiful place. There are many kinds f surces in it. D yu knw sme f them? ( water, trees, air etc.)
    Guessing game
    T: Here are anther surces. Let’s guess what they are.
    ① It’s black and hard. We can find it under the grund. It can make us warm. There’s a lt f it in Shanxi. ( cal )
    ② It’s a black liquid. We can find it under the grund t. Cars need it. ( il )
    ③ It’s usually white and thin. We can write and draw n it. ( paper )
    ④ It cmes frm trees. We use it t make tables, desks, chairs, beds and many ther things. ( wd )
    ⑤ It’s light and sft, but it’s strng. It’s widespread in ur life. ( plastic )
    T: They are useful things fr us, hw d we use them?

    引导学生说出 water,wd,paper,plastic等资源的用法。

    Watch the cartn and find the fur key pints f the text.
    ( save water, save energy, save trees and dn’t use t much plastic) 并板书。
    Listen t the tape and answer the questins.

    Read the whle passage ludly and finish the exercise ” think and write” n page70, and then check the answers.
    Retell the text accrding t the blackbard design.

    S1: Water is imprtant.

    S5: We shuld reuse water.
    S6: We shuldn’t waste water.
    Intrduce the slgan “ Save the wrld, save ur lives.” t the students.
    Step 5. Hmewrk
    Read and retell the passage.
    Finish the exercise “True r False” n page70.
    Cllect and make gd use f waste materials.
