教学重点：掌握核心词汇persuade, switch, distant, preference等
教学难点：理解并掌握动词不定式作定语的结构

教学过程：
一、Pre-reading

教师活动：Let students discuss fllwing questins:
1 What des it mean when we say that smething such as a phne is “smart”?
2 What d yu think a “smart” huse can d that ther huses cannt?
Examples:
1 It means that the thing might be driven by a cmputer and can perate mre autmatically.
2 A “smart” huse can turn n and ff the light, cmputer and ther intelligent equipment, but ther huses cannt.
While- reading

一、These smart hmes will keep us secure, save us energy, and prvide a mre cmfrtable envirnment t live in.
动词不定式作定语
不定式作后置定语时，须放在被修饰的名词或代词的后面。常见的动词不定式（短语）作定语的情况有：
1）被修饰词为last, nly, 序数词， 形容词最高级或被last, nly, 序数词， 形容词最高级修饰的词，且被修饰词与动词之间为逻辑上的主动关系时。
2）不定代词smething, nthing, little等后常用不定式（短语）作定语，说明被修饰代词的内容。
3）抽象名词time, way, reasn, chance, ability, curage, pprtunity, wish等后常用不定式（短语）作定语。
4）被修饰词前有the nly, the very, the next等词时。
5）表示将要发生的动作时（既有主动形式，也有被动形式）

(1) 名词短语引导的时间状语从句
1）the mment, the minute, the secnd, the day, the week, the mnth, the year等引导的时间状语从句。
2) the first/secnd/third/….time, the last time, next time, any time, every time, each/every time等引导的时间状语从句
（2）“find+宾语+宾补”结构
“find+宾语+宾补”结构中的宾语补足语可以由名词、形容词、副词、介词短语、现在分词、过去分词以及不定式等来充当。find 后由动词不定式作宾语补足语时，可以省略t,但当不定式为t be 时，t 不可省略。
学生活动：
学生活动：精读文本，之后回答以下问题：
1 What is the purpse f the text?
2 Wh is the intended audience f this text?
Examples:
1 The text means t tell that what is a smart hme and hw it wrks t make ur life easier.
2 The intended audience f the text might be hme members wh live in an rdinary huse.
学生活动：再次阅读文本，完成活动3的表格。
教师活动：Help students summarize the text. Then finish Activity 4 tgether.

学生活动: 小组内讨论以下问题
1 In what way is the hme f tmrrw already the hme f tday?
2 What might be sme f the disadvantages f smart hmes?
