My head teacher saved my life! I went through a real tough time at twelve and dropped out of school ending up in the mental hospital. She used my own time each week to visit me, sorting all worries about school and help me with my lessons. When I start to return to school she still helped me, what is the only reason why I have managed a recovery. She has edited my timetable and rules so that I can keep up off with the class. My Future Major
With graduation approaching, I can’t help considering my college major. As a science student, I show a great interest in physics, so chances are that I will take it as my major.
As is known to all, physics plays an important part in the development of our country. Therefore, by majoring in physics, not only can I satisfy my personal interest but also contribute to the scientific and technological progress of China. Moreover, physics will help me have a deeper understanding of how the world works, fostering my creativity and critical thinking ability.
For now, to get fully prepared for my dream major, abundant basic knowledge is essential. Furthermore, I'll try various ways to broaden my view in physics, for example, reading understandable physics journals.
一、评分原则
1、本题总分为25分,按5个档次给分。
2、评分时,先根据文章的内容和语言初步确定其所属档次,然后以该档次的要求来衡量、确定或调整档次,最后给分。
3、词数少于80和多于120的,从总分中减去2分。
4、评分时,应注意的主要内容为:内容要点、应用词汇和语法结构的数量和准确性及上下文的连贯性。
5、拼写与标点符号是语言准确性的一个方面,评分时,应视其对交际的影响程度予以考虑。英、美拼写及词汇用法均可接受。
6、如书写较差以致影响交际,将分数降低一个档次。
二、内容要点
1.目的:写一篇短文,说明自己的专业设想、选择理由和要做的准备。
2.内容:(1)专业方向;(2)选择理由;(3)要做的准备(考前和考后准备均可)。
三、各档次的给分范围和要求
第五档(21—25分)完全完成了试题规定的任务。
— 覆盖所有内容要点。
— 应用了较多的语法结构和词汇。
— 语法结构或词汇方面有些许错误,但为尽力使用较复杂结构或较高级词汇所致;具备较强语言运用能力。
— 有效地使用了语句间的连接成分,使全文结构紧凑。
完全达到了预期的写作目的。
第四档(16—20分)完全完成了试题规定的任务。
— 虽漏掉一两个次重点,但覆盖所有主要内容。
— 应用的语法结构和词汇能满足任务的要求。
— 语法结构或词汇方面应用基本准确,些许错误主要是因尝试较复杂语法结构或词汇所致。
— 应用简单的语句间连接成分,使全文结构紧凑。
达到了预期的写作目的。
第三档(11—15分)基本完成了试题规定的任务。
— 虽漏掉一些内容,但覆盖所有主要内容。

W: The UK government said a third of the world's food was wasted. It said this high level was "unacceptable". Over 7 million tons of food is wasted in the UK every year. A government official said, One-third of food is lost or wasted globally." The government talked about solutions to the food waste problem. Firstly, schools should raise children's awareness of it from a young age. Secondly, supermarkets should sell vegetables they throw away because they are in the " wrong" shape. Finally,"sell-by" dates and "best before" labels need to change. Good food is thrown away because of these labels. The official said throwing away so much food was socially and environmentally unacceptable. He said, “Socially, it is unacceptable that people are going hungry and using food banks when so much food is being wasted." He added that, "Environmentally, it is a disaster, because energy and resources is wasted." He said food ended up rotting in landfills and produced a climate-changing gas. He also asked supermarkets to sell vegetables that have a funny shape. He said, "It's ridiculous that perfectly good vegetables are wasted simply because they 're in funny shapes.
