Do the same thing with other school things. Write the words about school things on the board. Ask Ss to look at key words (1) in exercise1 , play the recording, ask Ss to listen and repeat. Direct Ss to picture1 of the classroom in exercise1. First give an example, then ask Ss to label the things with key words. Then check in class. Step2 exercise1Show some pictures with other school things, do the same things as step1 Step3 exercise2First give an example with a student: (point to ruler picture)T: What’s this in English?S: It’s a ruler.T: How do you spell it?S: R-U-L-E-R.Then get them into pairs to ask and answer the questions about the school things in the pictures in exercise1. Step3 exercise 3Hold up a book, ask “What’s this?” Elicit “It’s a book.” Then hold up two books and ask “What are these?” Elicit “They are books.” Explain that book is singular and means one; books is plural and means two or more. Then ask “What do we add to some nouns to make them plural?” then ask Ss to look at the Word Builder chart. Go over five ways, then lead them to finish the chart.Then make some nouns plurals. Step4 homework读key words about school things抄key words 两遍。列一学校用品的清单。 Look at the pictures, think , say and spell the school things look at key words(1) in exercise1, listen and repeat. label the things with key words. Then check in class.[ do the same things as step1 work in pairs to ask and answer the questions about the school things in the pictures in exercise1. Listen, think, finish the chart.
