    While-task prcedure:
    1. Lk and read: Lk at the pictures.
    a. Learn adjectives t express quantities: a little, sme, a lt f, plenty f.
    b. Practise the pattern drills:
    What kind f fd d we need every day?
    We need
    2. Read and learn sme new vcabularies: pyramid, fat, salt, sugar, ygurt.
    3. Lk and read: Lk at the picture, read after the tape sentence by sentence. Then Ss read by themselves and T invites sme Ss t read.
    4. Think and say: Talk abut wn diet with classmate.
    I eat/drink a lt f …, plenty f …, sme … and a little … every day. S I have a healthy/an unhealthy diet.
    5. Lk and say: Read the dialgue after the recrding, and then read in pairs.
    S1: Hw much fruit d we need every day?
    S2: We need plenty f fruit every day.
    S1: Hw much sugar d we need every day?
    S2: We need a little sugar every day.
    Pst-task activity:
    Ask and answer: Lk at the fd pyramid again, and then talk abut hw much f each kind f fd we need every day.

    S2: We need … every day.
    2. Read and say: Lk at the table and say smething abut children’s diets.
    e.g. Alice has a gd diet. She has _____ milk and _____ bread fr breakfast. She has _____ meat and _____ vegetables fr lunch. She has _____ fish, _____ vegetables and _____ fruit fr dinner.
    Ss prepare and then talk in class.
    Optinal activity:
    Eat ut at a buffet: Wrk in grups f fur, talk abut what yu and yur grup members wuld like t have. Then tell if yu have gt the gd diet.
    Suppse yu are eating ut at a buffet. Yu have t chse fd and drink by yurselves.
    2. Get ready t rder: Wrk in pairs, make up a shrt dialgue.
    Yu and yur classmate pretend t be the custmer and waiter. Yu are having dinner with sme friends and yu are rdering fd. The waiter shuld give yu sme suggestins. Remember t keep a gd diet.
    Then T invites sme pairs t act it ut.
