While-task procedure
| 1.Look and learn (1). Show some pictures to students and teach them the new words and phrase: bathroom, balcony,wardrobe, untidy, tidy up Ask students to reading the new words after the recording for several times.
(2).Show a picture of a flat to the students and tell them it is my new flat. Ask students to look at the picture and tell the name of each place: sitting-room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, balcony show a picture with the furniture and ask students to tell the names of the furniture. 2. Listen and judge Ask students to listen to the recording of the dialogue on p35 carefully and then do T/F exercise. a) Ben’s bedroom is not tidy. T b) Ben’s bedroom has enough space for all his things. F c) Ben and Kitty need bigger bedrooms. T d) Ben’s room is the biggest in the flat. F e) Kitty’s room is the smallest. T f) There are six rooms in the Lis’ flat. T
3. Listen and write (1) Show a picture of the Lis’ flat to the students.and ask them to listen to the recording of the dialogue again, then label the rooms in the picture. (2) Ask students why they think Room 3 is Kitty’s bedroom.
4. Listen and read (1) Ask students to read the dialogue after the recording sentence by sentence. (2) Divide the students into group of 3 and ask them to practice the dialogue by themselves. |
Look at the pictures on the screen and read the words after the recording.
Look at the picture and tell the name of each place one by one.
Listen to the recording of the dialogue and judge the sentences.
Listen to the recording again and label the rooms in the picture on p35.
Think and tell the reason according to the dialogue.
Read the dialogue after the recording sentence by sentence. Practice the dialogue in group of 3.
