物主代词有人称和数的变化

形容词性物主代词一般位于名词前，用作定语，限定该名词的意义。形容词性物主代词不能单独使用，其后必须加名词。
His parents are teachers.
They wash their hands every day. 
名词性的物主代词在用法上相当于名词，其后不可再加名词。
May I use yur pen? Yurs wrks better.
   为避免重复使用名词，可用“名词性物主代词”来代替“形容词性物主代词+名词”的形式。  
My cup is yellw, her cup is red, his cup is blue and yur cup is pink. 
为避免重复使用cup，可写成  
My cup is yellw, hers is red, his is blue and yurs is pink.
