教学过程 | 1. Warm-up and lead-in Talk about a brother and a sister. 2. Presentation Show some pictures on the screen Talk about the difference between the pictures.
(1)Finish 1a. Write down the opposite words and write down the comparative form. (2)Finish 1b. Listen and number the pairs of twins in the picture. (3) Practice the conversation in the picture above. Then make conversations about the other twins. A: That’s Tara, isn’t it? B: No, it isn’t. It’s Tina. Tina is taller than Tara. And she also sings more loudly than Tara. 4. Presentation Teacher asks: Are the words in the box used with –(i)er or more? Finish 2a. Listen and find out the right form. Finish 2b. Listen again and fill in the blanks. Pay attention to the use of comparative form. 5. Pair work. Make conversations: Teacher asks: --Is Tina more outgoing than Tara? Students answer: --Yes, she is Teacher asks: --Does Tina get up early than Tara? Students answer: --No, she doesn't. 6. Read 2d and underline sentences with comparatives degree. Pay attention to some sentences and phrases in 2d. 7. Summary (1) Comparative form. (2) Sentence structure : A + be + adj.比较级 + than + B. A + have/has + adj.比较级 + n. + than + B. A + V.
