    Integrated Skills教学设计

    科目:英语 课题:Integrated Skills 课时1课时

    教学目标与核心素养:

    知识目标:获取、梳理、整合整形手术的优缺点。

    能力目标:用所学语言和知识阐述对整形手术的观点,并用议论文的形式表达自己对整形手术的观点和态度。

    情感目标:提高学生对整形与外表美的认识,帮助学生形成正确的价值观,帮助青少年健康成长。

    教学重难点:

    教学重点:获取、梳理、整合整形手术的优缺点等信息;提高语言综合运用能力。

    教学难点:通过口头描述和书面的方式表达自己对整形的观点和态度;形成对外表美的正确认识。

    课前准备:多媒体,黑板,粉笔

    教学过程:

    一、Pre-writing

    1. Greeting

    2. Leading-in

    教师活动:教师通过图片引导学生思考整形手术,同时导入本节主题。

    观察下面的图片,结合自身实际生活经验分享对整形手术的认识和观点。

    二、  While-writing

    1. 教师活动:教师提出问题,学生根据文章内容思考问题答案。

    (1)What happened to Mr Wilson last January?

    (2)How did Mr Wilson have to live for the past year?

    (3)Why did John Wilson have plastic surgery?

    (4)How did the plastic surgery help Mr Wilson?

    (5)When did Ella Edwards have plastic surgery on herface?

    (6)What does Ella still suffer from?

    (7)What problems does the plastic surgery bring to Miss Edwards?

    (8)How does Ella feel after the surgery?

    (1) Mr Wilson was caught in a horrible campus fire, and his skin was badly burnt.

    (2) For the past year, he had to live with terrible burn marks on his face and body.

    (3) John Wilson had plastic surgery to repair some of his burnt skin.

    (4) The operation was a great success and Mr Wilson is very happy with the treatment. He is especially pleased with the results on his face, and now he can go out just like a normal guy.

    (5) The surgery took place more than a month ago.

    (6) Ella Edwards still suffers from daily pain.

    (7) The surgery stops her from returning to a normal life and makes her look unnatural. In addition, she is unable to make certain facial expressions.

    (8) She is unhappy with the results of the surgery. She really regrets having the surgery, and she is very anxious about it.

    These days, the number of men who have plastic surgery is almost the same as that of women.

    An argument essay is a piece of writing in which you express an opinion and support that opinion with facts and examples.

    ·Learning about the structure

    When writing an argument essay, you can use the PRE structure:

    > Provide your main point (P) in the opening paragraph for your readers.

    > Support your main point with reasons (R) and personal experiences or evidence (E) in the supporting paragraph(s).

    >Give a short but powerful summary in the closing paragraph.

    ·Learning about the language

    To make your argument more convincing, you often need to write in a formal and factual way. You can also quote an expert.
