    疑难句式破解
    【句式解构】强调句型构成:“It is(was)+被强调成分+that(who)+句子的其余部分”。被强调的部分指人时,除可用that外,还可换用who。判断强调句:去掉强调结构 It is(was)...that(who)...后,剩下的词仍能组成一个完整的句子。
    【语境助记】 ▶It is not who is right but what is right that is of importance.重要的不是谁是对的,而是什么是对的。▶It was along the Mississippi River that Mark Twain spent much of his childhood.马克·吐温的童年大部分是在密西西比河沿岸度过的。
    【难点提示】对“not...until...”结构的强调,要用“It is/was not until...that...”这一固定句型。由于否定已经前移,that后只能用肯定形式,同时要注意不能使用倒装语序。▶It was not until midnight that he went back home after the experiment.直到午夜,他才做完实验回家。
    【长难句分析】难句Finning would have an unexpected effect upon Peter Benchley, the man who wrote the book the film Jaws was based on.(P63)【句式解构】
    【深度分析】在本句中,本体词是Peter Benchley,the man是同位语,who引导后面的定语从句修饰同位语the man。例如:▶I was forty, the age when people take stock and change their lives. 我已年届不惑,到了该全面审视自己并改变生活的年龄了。(the age 是同位语,后面的 when 从句是定语从句,修饰名词 the age)

    一、当宾语与作宾语补足语的动词在逻辑上是主动关系时,用现在分词表示正在进行或一直处于某种状态;当宾语与作宾语补足语的动词在逻辑上是被动关系时,用过去分词。▶We saw him talking to her. 我们看到他在与她谈话。(正在进行)▶She kept us waiting here for an hour. 她让我们在这等了一个小时了。(一直处于某种状态)▶I saw him beaten by Tom. 我看到他被汤姆打了。(him与beaten之间是被动关系)
    语法精讲突破
    二、在with的宾语后,若用过去分词,表示宾语与过去分词在逻辑上是被动关系,且意味着该动作已经完成;若用现在分词,表示宾语与现在分词在逻辑上是主动关系,且表示动作的持续进行。▶(2021•浙江高考)All of us were hard at work at the kitchen table, with my mom filming the annual event.我们都在厨房桌上忙着,妈妈则在用相机记录着这一年度盛事。▶The murderer was brought in, with his hands tied behind his back. 杀人犯被带了进来,他的手是被捆在背后的。▶I couldn’t do my homework with all that noise going on. 由于噪声不断我做不了作业。
    三、现在分词和过去分词作补语的关键点。一般说来,过去分词作补语表示“被动”和“完成”的意义;现在分词作补语表示“主动”和“进行”的意义。▶I found the young trees watered.我发现这些小树已经浇过水了。▶I found them watering young trees.我发现他们正在给小树浇水。
    四、过去分词作补语与现在分词的被动式作补语的区别。一般说来,过去分词作补语表示“被动”和“完成”的意义;现在分词的被动式作补语表示“被动”和“进行”的意义。▶I saw the school being built.我看见学校正在(被)修建。(现在分词的被动式being built表示“正在进行”的动作)▶I saw the school built.我看见学校已经(被)建好。(过去分词built表示“已经完成”的动作)
    五、“have sth.done”结构和“have sb./sth.doing”结构中补语用途的区分。“have sth.done”结构有三种不同的含义,需要根据具体的语言环境确定:1.表示通常意义的“有”。例如:▶We have not any water left in the glass.玻璃杯里没有剩下一点水。▶My father has no money saved for his old age.我父亲没有存下一点钱防老。2.表示“受……影响”,“蒙受……损失”。例如:▶He had his windows broken.他的窗子被打破了。
    3.表示“让某事被做”。例如:▶I had my watch repaired.我把我的表拿去修理了。上述“have sth.done”结构与“have sb./sth.doing”表示的意义完全不同。have sb./sth.doing表示“让某人或某事一直进行某动作或保持某种状态”。例如:▶Although the farm is large,my dad has only two men working for him.尽管农场很大,我父亲仍然只雇用了两个人为他干活。
    【疑难点拨】感官动词:see, hear, watch, notice和使役动词: make, let, get等加补语的用法和have+宾语+宾语补足语的用法类似。比如:see sb.doing现在分词作补语,表主动,看到某人正在做某事;see sb./sth.done过去分词作补语,表被动,看到某事被做。例如:1.I saw him playing basketball when I went to school. (我去学校见到他时,他正在打篮球。)2.I never heard Thriller ever sung so sweet.(听到这个歌被唱)3.The old man never gets his hair cut.(使头发被剪)
