    Teaching aims (教学目的)

    学习常用家具和物品的英语名称,询问物品的摆放位置以及相应的答语。

    学会on,in,under,behind 等重要的方位介词。

    Key points (本课重点)

    1.Where’s my backpack? It’s under/on/in/behind/next to the table.

    2.Plural nouns

    通过学生看图片和实物学习新知识,然后通过一些交际训练学习对话。

    1a  Presentation

    利用实物教学in/on/under/behind的意思和用法。

    The book is on the desk. The eraser is under the book..

    The ruler is in the pencil case.

    2..Point to the picture and teach the new words. Ask :What’s in the picture?

       What can you see in the picture? Can you name them?

    3.Start by asking students to point to each word at the left and repeat them after me

    4.After they have said the words, ask them to guess which thing in the picture each word refers to. Work in pairs and check the answers.

    5.Ask students to match the words with the objects in the picture by writing the letters of the objects on the lines next to to the words.

    1b.listen and number(1—5) the things in the picture

     when you hear.

    First repeat the name of each word.

    Play the recording the first time. Students only listen.

    Listen again and write a number 1 in the box next to the first item mentioned, a 2 in …….. correct the answers.

    1c  pairwork. make your own  conversations.Use the words in the box..and things in the picure.

     

    example:  Where’s  the pencil case? It’s in the backpack?

              Where’s the backpack?   It’s under the table.

              Where’re the books?   They’re on the sofa.

              Where’re the keys?    They’re on the dresser.

              Also make conversations using personal possessions in the classroom setting.. we can use keys, a backpack, a pencil a pencil case and so forth..Place them in, on,under where all students can see them. Then take turns to ask each other.

    2a 1.Point to the six pictures and repeat the name of the object in [来源:Z§xx§k.Com]

    each picture.  Then ask some students to read them.loudly.

    Play the recording the first time and only listen.

    Play the recording a second time and write a number.

    check the  answers.

    2b. 1. ask different students to read the number and say the name of

    each item in 2a

    2.point to the numbers in 2a and you will write these numbers

         in the picture in 2b.

    3.ask students to look at the picture and point out the boxes

     in the picture where students can write in the numbers in order

    4.play the recording the first time. students listen and

    look at the picture.

    5.Listen again and write the numbers and check the answers

    2c  Pairwork, ask and answer questions about the things

    in the picture above.examples:

    A:Are the books(keys) on the sofa?

    B:No,they aren’t. They’re on the chair(table).

    A:Is the baseball on the sofa?

    Have the students repeat.

    Grammar Focus: 1.Fill in the missing words.

    _______ is the baseball? ___ is _____  the backpack.

    Where ____ the computer game? _____ under the bed.

    Where _____ your books?   _____ are on the chair..

    Where _____ his keys ?    _______ on the dresser..

    Where are ____ keys?  Are they  _____ the table?

    No. they _______.They’re  under _____ table.

    第二课时(Section A 3a—4)

    一、Teaching aims

    复习上堂课所学单词和句型.

    学习新句型:

     Where’s the bag? I don’t know.

    Is it on the dresser? No, it isn’t.

     3a.

    1. Look at the picture.. Ask who the people are and what room each person is in.

    2.Read the conversation in the picture and repeat.. Explain the expression I don’t know.

    Read the four line of the conversation on the right of the

    picture to students. They’re in the wrong order and the number 1 is the first part .write numbers 2,3 and 4 in the others to complete the conversation. And ask a student to write it on the blackboard.

    3b  Invite some Ss to change roles to  perform the conversation in the picture above using the target language.

    3c.1. Look at the three pictures and what are the two students talking.

    2.Ask and answer about the things books ,keys ruler the computer game pencil case. baseball, backpack and so on. Examples: A: Where’re  the books B: I don’t know.

    A: Where’re the keys   B: They’re on the dresser.

    A: Where’s the ruler?   B: I don’t know.

      ………….

    4 Student A look at the picture on page 19 Students B look at the picture on the right.. What’s the difference between them and try to find.You may ask and answer about the backpack,the books the baseball the pencil case the keys the comtuter game. Example:

    A: Where is the …. ?  Is it…….   B: No, it isn’t. It’s …….

    A: Where are the ….? Are they ….. B: No, they aren’t. They’re…

     

    Step4  Summary

    总结本堂课所学内容。

    1a

    1.Look at the picture and what things in the picture can you name?

    2..Read and remember the each word listed at the top

    3.Match the objects with words in the picture by writing the letter of each object on the line next to one of the words in the box.

    4.Check the answers.

       1b Look at everything in the picture and try to remember as many items as you can.and close your books. Give you three minutes to write the names of as many items as they can remember. How many words have you written.?Ask one of students to write them on the blackboard and other students add the missing the words to the list and check what words students may have missed.

    1c Pairwork A: What’s on the bed?  B: A notebook

              A: Where’s the computer game? B: It’s on the table.

    2a  1.Read the words in the form.

    2.Play the recording the first time and only listen.

    Play the recording a second time and circle the things that Tommy wants from his room.

        2b .Pay attention the example and read after me and listen again and write notes like the example. Two times.

      3a Read the note and circle the items mentioned in the picture and

         draw the missing things in the picture. And try to remember it.

      3b Look at the picture and tell us the names of the items shown

     in the picture and tell us where they are. Fill in the blanks on your own and check the answers.

      3c Pairwork: write a note to a friend asking four things from your room Say where they are. Do as a model 3b.and read your note to partner and check the mistakes and hand in please.

    Groupwork: Draw your ideal room and describe it to your classmate

                Let’s see who did best. And hand it in.
