The car was invented (发明) just a century ag. Yu may knw all kinds f cars’ names, but many peple dn’t knw wh was the inventr f the first car. The first car was invented nt by a German, but by an American. His name was Henry Frd. Henry was brn in a pr family. He was the eldest f six children. When he was a by, he became interested in mending watches and machines. When he was twelve years ld, his mther died. Sn he had t wrk in a machine shp fr tw dllars and fifty cents a week. In the evenings he repaired watches fr anther dllar a week. The hard life made him strng and able.
At that time there was anther interest in the life f the yung frd. He dreamed(梦想) t make a machine. It culd run withut a hrse, s named “hrseless carriage.” He ver-came(克服) a lt f difficulties and in April 1893, the “hrseless carriage” was finally finished. It was the first car.
Later Henry Frd funded the Frd Mtr Cmpany(福特汽车公司). He was really the first inventr f the car in the wrld.
