1.expect; v. “期待”“期望”,
expect是及物动词,意为“预料,盼望”,它有以下常见用法:
expect + n. / prn.预计„„可能发生;期待某人或某物eg:I expect a snwstrm. 我预计会有一场暴风雪。
②. expect + t d sth.料想做某事eg:I expect t get a birthday present frm my dad. 我期待着收到一件来自父亲的礼物。
③. expect sb. t d sth. 期望某人做某事 eg:D yu expect him t teach yu English? 你希望他教你英语吗?
④. expect + 从句 预计/ 料想eg:I didn’t expect that yu wuld get there s sn. 我没想到你会这么快就到达那里了
⑤. 用于“It+ be +过去分词+从句”结构,表示“预计……”。
eg:It’s expected that the war wuld end sn. 预计战争不久即可结束。

suppse的基本意思是“猜想;以为;假定”,但在具体的语言环境中意义不止于此,其用法如下:
①. suppse +名词 / 代词 + t be...,表示“认为…是…”。如: Many peple suppse him t be ver 50. 许多人认为他已经50多岁了。
②suppse用于祈使句中,表示“让……”。
eg: Suppse we g fr a swim. (= Let's g fr a swim.) 让我们去游泳吧。
③suppse + that 引导的宾语从句“假设,猜想,以为”。
eg:I suppse that she'll be there tday.我想她今天能到那里。
④当suppse + that 引导的宾从变为否定句时,否定应前移,有此种用法的词有think, believe, guess(猜想)等。eg:I suppse that she will cme t yur party.→ I dn't suppse that she will cme t yur party.我猜她不会来参加你的晚会。
⑤在表示同意或不同意别人的观点时,常用“I suppse s/ I dn't suppse s”。
