基本概念：过去进行时表示在过去某一时刻或某一段时间内正在进行或发生的动作。
基本结构：主语+was/were + ding + 过去时间.
过去进行时的概念和结构
They were reading at six 'clck this mrning.
They were singing and dancing at Tm’s birthday party yesterday .
They were playing cards at this time last night.
What were they ding?
一般在词尾加 ing。
以-ie结尾，先将-ie改成y，再加 ing。
动词变现在分词的规则：
以不发音的字母e结尾，先去e再加 ing。
以重读闭音节结尾，且词尾只有一个辅音字母时，先双写这个辅音字母，再加 ing。
表示过去某一时刻正在进行的动作：eg. I was running at that time yesterday.
表示过去某一阶段内正在进行的动作:eg. I was reading last night.
表示一个动作发生时，另一个动作正在进行:eg. When my sister came hme, I was watching TV.
表示一个动作正在进行,另一个动作突然发生:eg. When I was walking, it rained.
表示两个动作同时进行 I was ding hmewrk , she was cking,

when和while用法的区别：
eg. I was shpping when I met her.
eg. He heard sme nsie utside while he was playing the pian.
eg. David was singing while Daniel was playing the pian.
指表示能够延续一段时间的动作。如：study, wrk, stand 等。
表示不能延续的动作,这种动作发生后立即结束。 如:pen, die, clse等。

when和while用法的总结：
选择正确的飞镖击中靶心。
eg. I was ding my hmewrk at nine last night.
在be动词后面加nt，句中sme变any,and变r,t变either
I wasn't ding my hmewrk at nine last night.
eg. They were talking smething when the teacher came in.
They were nt talking anything when the teacher came in.
I was fishing this mrning.

将be动词移到句首，句中第一人称变第二人称，通常sme变any
把下面的句子变为一般疑问句

过去进行时着重描述当时正在持续进行的动作，它的特点是：暂时，持续和未完成，强调过程。eg.I was writing a letter t my friend last night. （信不一定写完）
过去进行时 VS 过去时
一般过去时表示发生过的动作或存在的状态，即表示动作发生过，或者已经结束了，强调事实或结果。eg. I wrte a letter t my friend last night.（信写完了）
