One f the greatest surces f unhappiness, in my experience, is the difficulty we have in accepting things as they are.
When we see smething we dn't like, we wish it culd be different. We cry ut fr smething better. That may be human nature, r perhaps it's smething ingrained (根深蒂固的) in ur culture. The rt f the unhappiness isn't necessarily that we want things t be different. Hwever, it's that we decided we didn't like it in the first place. We've judged it as bad, rather than saying, “It's nt bad r gd, and it just is it.”
In ne f my bks, I said “Yu shuld expect peple t mess up and expect things t g differently than yu planned”. Sme readers said it's t srrwful t expect things t g wrng. Hwever, it's nly negative if yu see it as negative and judge it as bad. Instead, yu culd accept it as the way the wrld wrks and try t understand why that is.
This can be applied t (应用于) whatever yu d: hw ther peple act at wrk, hw plitics wrks and hw depressing the news media can be. Accept these things as they are, and try t understand why they're that way. It will save yu a lt f sadness, because yu'll n lnger say, “Oh, I wish bad things didn't happen!”
Des it mean yu can never change things? Nt at all. But change things nt because yu can't accept things as they are, but because yu enjy the prcess f changing, learning and grwing.
Can we make this wrld a better place? Yu can say that yu'll cntinue t try t d things t help thers, t grw as a persn, t make a difference in this wrld. That's the crrect path yu chse t take, because yu enjy that path. Therefre, when yu find yurself judging and wishing fr difference, try a different apprach: accept and understand. It might lead t sme interesting results.
1.The authr believes that we feel unhappy maybe because ________.
A.it is ur natural emtin in the life
B.culture asks us t be different frm thers
C.everyne has their wn pinins n things

    What Is Scial Media?
Nt many peple ask the questin “What is scial media?” anymre. Scial media has been arund fr years nw, and mst f us wuld prbably describe it as any Internet medium that can be used t share infrmatin with thers, including blgs, frums, applicatins, games, websites and ther stuff.
But let me ask yu this: what exactly is s “scial” abut sitting befre a cmputer setting up a blg and blgging fr days withut anybdy reading it, r scrlling thrugh yur Facebk feed f infrmatin frm 500 friends yu barely knw? If yu ask me, it can be way mre antiscial than anything.
Scial media is nt a “thing”. It's nt just Facebk, WeChat and Weib. It's mre f a frame f mind and a state f being. It's abut hw yu use it t imprve yur relatinships with ther peple in real life. Hwever, we tend t rely n technlgy and scial media s much that it can actually tear_apart thse relatinships.
Scial media isn't abut numbers. When smene says “scial media”, web giants like Facebk, Twitter, WeChat and Weib instantly pp int ur minds, ften because they have mre updates, mre friends, mre fllwers, mre links, mre phts and mre everything. We tend t get distracted by the number game, thinking “vlume, vlume, vlume”. It leads t a lt f meaningless nise and infrmatin verlad. As the ld saying ges, quality ver quantity is usually the way t g. S, scial media is nt just abut lts f peple aimlessly spreading lts f infrmatin.
Scial media needs t have an “IRL” factr—an Internet slang standing fr “In Real Life”. It shuld affect hw a persn thinks r acts ffline. After all, scial media shuldn't be an end in itself. It was built t enhance yur actual scial life, in real life. Take fr example an event that a persn attends because he is invited by the hst n Facebk thrugh a Facebk event page. Smething like that definitely has the IRL factr. Likewise, a WeChat pht that tuches smene s much that they feel the need t bring it up and describe it t smene else during a dinner date als has the IRL factr.
S, is it really cnsidered t be scial t spend an hur scrlling thrugh phts n Weib, with n thughtful r emtinal effect and n interactin with thers? In fact, there is n wall between real life and Internet life where true scial media exists. Scial media is nt a specific place n the Internet r just a thing yu use t see what ther peple are ding. It's all abut creating meaningful experiences and relatinships wherever yu may be.

    A.Destry. B.Change.

B.T infrm the negative effects f scial media.
C.T call n readers t use scial media t prmte real scial life.
D.T encurage readers t interact with thers in real life mre ften.
    C
As Internet users becme mre dependent n the Internet t stre infrmatin, are peple remembering less? If yu knw yur cmputer will save infrmatin, why stre it in yur wn persnal memry, yur brain? Experts are wndering if the Internet is changing what we remember and hw.
In a recent study, Prfessr Betsy Sparrw cnducted sme experiments. She and her research team wanted t knw hw the Internet is changing memry. In the first experiment, they gave peple 40 unimprtant facts t type int a cmputer. The first grup f peple understd that the cmputer wuld save the infrmatin. The secnd grup understd that the cmputer wuld nt save it. Later, the secnd grup remembered the infrmatin better. Peple in the first grup knew they culd find the infrmatin again, s they did nt try t remember it.
In anther experiment, the researchers gave peple facts t remember, and tld them where t find the infrmatin n the Internet. The infrmatin was in a specific cmputer flder (文件夹). Surprisingly, peple later remembered the flder lcatin (位置) better than the facts. When peple use the Internet, they d nt remember the infrmatin. Rather, they remember hw t find it. This is called “transactive memry (交互记忆)”.
Accrding t Sparrw, we are nt becming peple with pr memries as a result f the Internet. Instead, cmputer users are develping strnger transactive memries; that is, peple are learning hw t rganize huge quantities f infrmatin s that they are able t access it at a later date. This desn't mean we are becming either mre r less intelligent, but there is n dubt that the way we use memry is changing.
8.The passage begins with tw questins t ________.
    A.intrduce the main tpic
    B.shw the authr's attitude
C.describe hw t use the Internet
    D.explain hw t stre infrmatin
9.What can we learn abut the first experiment?
A.Sparrw's team typed the infrmatin int a cmputer.
B.The tw grups remembered the infrmatin equally well.
C.The first grup did nt try t remember the infrmatin.
D.The secnd grup did nt understand the infrmatin.
    10.In transactive memry, peple ________.
    A.keep the infrmatin in mind
    B.change the quantity f infrmatin
    C.rganize infrmatin like a cmputer
D.remember hw t find the infrmatin
11.What is the effect f the Internet accrding t Sparrw's research?
    A.We are using memry differently.
    B.We are becming mre intelligent.
C.We have prer memries than befre.
D.We need a better way t access infrmatin.
