used t意为“过去常常”，用于表示过去习惯性的动作或存在的状态（强调与现在的对比，暗示现在不做了）。其中t为不定式符号，后面跟动词原形。used t只用于一般过去时态，没有人称和数的变化。e.g. Tm used t be thin, but nw he’s big and strng. Tm以前很瘦，但现在他又高又壮。

肯定句主语 + used t + 动词原形（ + 其他）eg. She used t live in Lndn. 她曾经在伦敦住过。 When I lived in Spain, I used t eat ut all the time. 我住在西班牙的时候总是在外面吃饭。 He’s rather shy, althugh he’s nt as bad as he used t be. 他相当害羞，虽然不想他之前那么厉害。
否定句主语 + used nt t / didn’t use t + 动词原形 + 其他eg. When we were yunger, we used nt t be allwed t drink cffee. 我们小的时候是不让喝咖啡的。 Yu didn’t use t eat chips when yu were yunger. 你年轻的时候不吃炸薯条。
