 We sat on a rock with no phone signal，realizing all we could do was shout for help．Because of the pain，we could only yell from time to time．After what seemed a century，someone responded．Four bystanders had spotted our car and were wading through the mud to us．Once they arrived，two of them helped Gabe shimmy up the hill．Because of my injured foot，the other two had to carry me．Sinking into the mud made it even tougher．
