Unit 2 This is my sister.用法集萃1.this/these是近指代词，指时间或空间上较近的人或事物。that/those是远指代词，指时间或空间上较远的人或事物。如:This is Mr. Smith and that is Mr. Black.这位是史密斯先生, 那位是布莱克先生。These are pears and those are apples.这些是梨, 那些是苹果。2.that和those可用来代替前面说过的名词。如:The weather in Shanghai is not so cold as that in Beijing. 上海的天气不像北京那么冷。3.this, that, these, those和冠词（a, an, the）以及形容词性物主代词（his, her, its, my等）合不来,它们从不连用。重点句子点拨：1．That's my family.那是我的家人。
点拨：本句是由“主语＋be(am，is，are)＋表语”构成的陈述句。That pron. “那，那个”，是表示远指的指示代词，与this相对应。What's that？那个是什么？
辨析：this，that和it三者都可以在句中指代人或物，但分工不同：
this指距离说话人近的人或物。This is a book.这是一本书。介绍他人时，用this is...，this is不缩写。
Tom，this is David.汤姆，这是大卫。打电话时，指自己用this。Hello，this is Bill.你好！我是比尔。
that指距离说话人远的人或物。That's a ruler.那是一把尺子。介绍他人时，一般不用that is...，但that is可以缩写。打电话时，称对方用that。Hello！Is that Kelsey？你好！你是凯思吗？
it回答Is this/that...？问句时，用it来代替所指的人或物。—Is that your pencil？那是你的铅笔吗？
—Yes，it is.是的，它是。指婴幼儿或不知道性别的人。如：It's a baby.那是一个婴儿。
指判断或推测的人，还有只闻其声不见其人的人。—Who's knocking at the door？谁在敲门？—It's me.是我。
